Has the definition of this changed ?
Seen plenty of women say they are curvy but their pics suggest otherwise
Just an observation - I’m sure men are guilty of misrepresentation too but I’m not looking at blokes profiles |

Men absolutely use the term ‘curvy’ here and it is way way off the mark… in my opinion… I would imagine it’s how you see yourself, I expect many people would use different terms for describing someone else but if you’re self labelling it’s your own view |

I think OP is actually thinking the opposite. More so that some women say they are curvy when they are more what most people would call slim. In this instance its their own self image that they aren't size 6 sticks that cause them to call themselves curvy. |

Pictures are subjective, you see what you want to see from them
How a person chooses to describe themselves is there prerogative
I consider myself slim but curvy so I list myself as curvy on here, not particularly a fan of being labelled as one word or pigeon holed into a category though

"I would say I'm curvy, correct me if I'm wrong though! "
Wonderfully curvy - great boobs connected to a lovely rounded bum - plenty of curves there — lovely xx |

Exactly, saw one yesterday quoting 'curvy' yet I'd have said 'slim'. A typical example of a female viewing herself as bigger than observers do. Notice also that in FAB profile options there are three sizes above curvy !, and three below so curvy is somewhere in the middle of what we observe in the real world |

Just look at the pictures and decide, folks. If the pictures don't show enough or there's no pictures, assume it's a "no" and find some pictures that make you go "ooooooooo". I really don't understand why people get so het up about which arbitrary option people have chosen from a limited set of drop downs. |

I was wondering about that too , I thought curvy meant slight bit of tum tum , more pushing for cushion !!! But loads a lady’s say curvy and they look amazing!!!! No fat on them at all
Or dose it mean large breasts and bum ? |

"Surely the people describing themselves as "curvy" but then being size 26 are either needing to go to spec savers, or somewhat misleading people."
Women can describe themselves how they wish op. Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me. (Ps I’m curvy) |

I opted for curvy because I think I’m bigger than average and nothing else seemed to fit, I don’t have the boobs for it though and so always feel a bit of a fraud! (Not to the point I’m losing sleep ) |

I always view curvy as describing a shape rather than a size. So anyone can be curvy if you have that shape no matter what size they are.
Some of these comments are down right nasty as well.
Size shaming is alive and well on fab. And not just aimed at larger ladies as well. It’s not on being mean if someone is smaller as well.

"Does it really matter how women view themselves? Your opinion is unnecessary. If you dont like the pics then leave their profile. "
This this this!!!
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting somebody I’d spoken to for a long long time, I had only seen some pictures and thought the woman was incredibly beautiful, she described yourself as curvy. When I did meter she did not meet my definition of curvy, I wasn’t extremely large but still a very beautiful woman. I did wonder to myself how she felt about herself, what she thought she looked like and it wasn’t for me to judge. Ultimately she wasn’t for me, and I wasn’t attracted to her
But, it’s completely up to her how she describes herself and how she sees herself. So long as she is happy how other people perceive her is their problem |

Curvy isn't a size. If you've got curves, you're curvy.
Let people describe themselves how they wish and use their photos to decide if they're what you're looking for rather than relying on a single word descriptor |

I would say it’s more to do with how the lady sees and how she chooses to describe herself, rather than it being misleading! I know that my view on the word has changed, and no longer see it as a set one type of body shape! Im a size 8 but have curves, so I guess if I wanted to class myself as curvy then I would, but for now I’ll stick with average haha Miss pc |

Just look at the photos and decide.
We always meet singles and couples for a drink and chat initially, unless at a club or party.
If they have lied or exaggerated about themselves or we don't have any chemistry, we've had a pleasant night in the pub and that's where it ends.
No grief, no drama, no upset, no bad feeling just move on.
Same for them too.
They may feel we aren't what they are looking for.
Let's be honest. Nobody puts a negative description of themselves on their profile.

I would say curvy is a shape not a size. A lady can be a size 6 with a tiny waist but hips bum and boobs. To me that is curvy just as much as a size 18-20 lady with a waist hips and bum. To me curvy is the classic hourglass fingers |
