It depends if it's just exchanging chit chat then no I don't and I wouldn't expect the other person to either.
If it's in the middle of a proper conversation then yes I probably would say goodbye unless something like my phone ringing happened.
If people disappeared constantly in the middle of a conversation I probably would think they aren't that interested . |

I will usually explain if I have to disappear for a while, I’ve been online here and read a message that needed some effort in the reply so said hi and that I will be back a bit later to reply properly, that kinda thing but with friends we all just come and go as we please |
