It does hurt, but it's unlikely to leave any lasting damage. Just make sure you've eaten enough and not had too much coffee - last thing you want is the shakes.
No hot water on that skin for 24 hours either; just cold water and loose-fitting, cotton clothing.

I once shaved my legs fully for a cycling camp. Looked amazing, for about 2 days. Then a 3 month rash... Wish I'd had them waxed, but fear of the rash means I'll never do either again... |

had my back waxed a few years ago, it was the most painful thing I have every experienced!
Unforunately I also had a reaction to the wax (I presume) and not have some small marks/scars
Never again - veet or shave my areas |

It’s not too bad, all depends on your pain barrier, I can have certain areas waxed and not even flinch (arsehole is said area haha) but I think the anxiety of the potentially waxing is far worse then the pain it actually causes, stubbing your toe or stepping on Lego definitely hurts more |
