Np petty fingers at Silverleighs in Kent!!!!

Jump to: Newest in thread

After being let down by several couples for a day time meet, we paid a visit to Silverleighs to chill and relax and with a bit of luck have some fun. As you do when chilling we had a bit of a kiss n cuddle in a jacuzzi just as a member of staff walked past. She looked, sneered, and shouted at us so loudly that the rest of the swimming area could hear to "for crying out loud will you take it to a room, some people may not want to see that".

A point well made you may say,,, BUT

The other customers including two couples who are long term members of some considerable years were shocked and stunned at the behavior of the member of staff, stating that they had never seen anything like it at the club. Especially as the staff member concerned has been seen doing far more than just kissing a partner while bathing in the jacuzzi at the club.

The question is what is the etiquette re behavior in a jacuzzi at other clubs?

worth checking the rules of the club if new as some may allow play, some not.

I personally don't like it but I have seen a lot of play in some over the years. A lot depends if they are kept spotlessly clean through out the entire day.

Rules of the club aside, surely their manner and the way they dealt with it was inappropriate, regardless...?

Chams access all areas I love playing and kissing in the jacuzzi x not sex though the chlorine tends to dry me out a bit x

im a regular at silverleigh, and many times ive got pissed off with coming out of the jacuzzi looking like the man from atlantis! and having to scrub spunk from arm hairs, i agree if u was just kissing it was over the top and should of been dealt with in a more appropriate manner x

I do understand about unwanted substances in the water its not nice and I can imagine how you'd feel needing to shower after just to get rid of it. The other issue I had with the staff member was the fact that I and most of the other regulars have sen her do much worse both in the jacuzzi and pool and her reasoning wasn't health and hygiene but "people might not want to see that"

I never thought kissing and cupping a boob was so offensive!!!

Been there several times with my gf (and may well be there again this Friday) and always found that as long as you're "discrete", no one worries about you playing in the jacuzzi or the pool - we've been there when there's been 3 or 4 separate couples shagging in the pool!

But the attitude of the staff member stinks - would have had a real problem with them if they'd said that to us.

Crete or LANCASTER

Never seen much in the public areas. I always thought it was primarily a Naturist club, and any play was in the rooms.

Haven't been for a few years now, felt it was overtaken by other clubs. Has it changed ?

A quiet word would have been more appropriate.

Well well! the member of staff I mentioned has contacted us privately after reading this forum thread and all I can say is I am stunned and shocked by the tone and personally offensive remarks made about us in her message. It's pretty much the final nail in the coffin and we won't be going back. In the present economic climate, you'd think they'd want to encourage people to visit their club and not insult them enough to send them running to their competitors ....

If it's just a member of staff I would suggest writing to the management - and point out the message they have sent to you....

Copy the message and attach it to an email complaint to the owners via their website. Wouldn't let that go.

As for your OP asking what are the rules in other clubs, sorry to be blunt but it doesn't matter what the rules are elsewhere - it's the rules in THIS club that matter. Just had a look at their website and the one thing missing from it IS the rules!!!!! Not overly impressed with that.....

Well, we have haven't been to this one as we normally end up at the well known place up the road, mostly due to reputation. I think thread has just made it even less likely now!

I wonder how they stay in businiess?

Have been to silverleigh many time and this sounds very untrue. I believe that they are a naturist club by the whole. I know the first time I visited I signed a visitor's form which stated no sex in public are you will be asked to leave. Also in the person appointed manager female and as far as I know not a swinger or into males. Sometime I wish people would find out the truth before giving a club a bad name for no reason.

wholly innappropriate behaviour. report them to the management. what happened to the customer always being right? and they had no right to email you, thats harassment.
