What do women think of term ‘cougar’ is anyone offended by it? Does anyone actually consider themselves one and enjoys the term?

I actually quite liked being referred to as a cougar until someone told me I was too old to be one and at my age am classed as a Jaguar

Some do, some don't.

The perspective is what changes the matter. If a woman calls herself a cougar that's one thing, but to be told she is one is quite another thing entirely. Some women like young guys, but far more on here will say that they have children who are older and won't meet a young man. It's difficult to explain, but ultimately if a person wants to label themselves then let them, but no one should label other people.

I can't say as it bothers me too much but I don't really consider myself one as I have always been the hunted not the hunter

Cougar was originally coined (in Vancouver) as an insult to predatory d*unk old women who mauled young men. It was meant to be derogatory, and for that reason I don't like it. It also makes me laugh when young men in the Fab forum say they're looking for a cougar. Cougars hunt them, never vice versa.
