Interesting thread this one and mixed responses. Although that shouldn’t be a surprise given the breadth and depth of people on here.
I personally find the added thrill of anything outdoors or car related is a nice distraction. This can be the visual dogging type that appeals to all voyeurs or the more hands on outcomes that occur if there is a spark of attraction. Back seats do make it a little more comfortable if things progress to sex but so does simply bending over the bonnet or leaning out the window etc. This can bring in to play other passers by or the hubby, all of which adds to the fun.
