Do non swingers think swingers are abnormal?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Don't know, don't care. But I know we've managed to corrupt non-swingers in the past and people who know about us seem cool about it. So I don't think it's a big thing to most non-swingers and I'd say a fair few are at least curious. |

I went for a contact lens trial yesterday and when he pushed me to find out why I only wanted them for a few hours a month, I told him. Its so they don't get lost in an orgy. When he recovered from the shock of my frankness he just had loads of questions. I don't feel that much judgement from anyone, and if they judge then they really aren't people I want in my life.
Except for my mother, who would judge, but I do still want her in my life. |

I don't know why you'd find that appropriate information to share in that context |

Probably? But who cares. People come in all shapes and sizes. The majority don't get involved in swinging, that's just how it is.
All I can say for sure is that everyone should strive to be open minded. Not that they have to *try* everything, but at least be happy to let people be happy. So long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, that's all that matters. |

"Sometimes sharing with a stranger is a thrill, surely?"
It's a bit naff
And it's definitely not normal for guys to share unsuspecting pics of their partner |

A lot of people are somewhat comfortable, if bored, with their lockdown lives, where they live and work within fairly narrow confines. A routine of mundane sex often, even if the sex isn't too often .
We may think we're superior but we're just a little different. We tasted some 'forbidden' fruit and liked it.
It takes a strong relationship to sustain swinging and many relationships can't take that, as communication and trust are frequently difficult for people. We learned the fairytale Disney princess and prince stories from a very young age and desired that, with Prince Charming being the full provider of golden romance and happiness ever after.
Come here and Prince C is getting his cock sucked through a gloryhole, whilst thinking about whose pics he'll tribute later and hopefully get into a bareback gangbang afterwards. Then forum post asking how to get his wife into swinging |

My mates think I'm nuts. Risking my marriage for sex with other people. What if she falls for another guy, what if you find someone else.
They think my experiences are surreal but they wouldn't take the chance |

"Brilliant story and I bet it made the guys day....bet he wanked his stiffy after!
And yes mothers
We don’t need that do we..."
He was intrigued. It made for a very fun discussion and in the end I got a far better result and product for what I want. |

When there are forum posts asking whether people tell their friends they swing, most don't. Which is like the position gay people were in in the 70s/80s, when homosexuality was legal but not widely accepted. Swingers and kinksters are now about the most oppressed sexual minorities (with acknowledgement to the prejudice still experienced by some gay people). |

You can’t escape the fact that some people will “judge” others based on their own standards. People outside the scene may well think swinging is wrong, but will condone having an affair. And people on the scene can be judgemental too. It matters not a jot to us - we’ve made our life decisions and we reap the harvest of what we sow - whether it be good or bad. |

Think it's more a case of being jelouse of the fact that your having a good time and they probably wish they were doing the same thing.
Lots of people think about it or dream about it and secretly may wish they could do it but simply don't have the bottle to admit it.

Not everyone you encounter in real life needs or wants to know about your sex life. |

"Yes.
If you gay etc. people generally don't raise an eyebrow.
If you say you swing or even worse - you have a kink/fetish/BDSM etc. then you tagged as a deviant."
I'm comfortable with that tag |

Try being naturist swingers ,that's fun ...
We have been open about our naturist lifestyle for years but keep schtum about our swinging one .
Most are live and let live but the knuckle draggers go for the Paedophilic accusations at naturists .
It's so bad (thanks to social media for giving the keyboard headbangers a voice ) that British Naturism are working with the law on hate speech .
Would I let it be widely known that we enjoy sex with others ?
Would I hell .
So it would appear there are two groups that are derided and poisonous accusations aimed at and we are part of both .. |

In the past, we have found people to be more disgusted with swinging than them having an affair behind their partners back!!!
But, almost everybody seems to be curious about swinging and many treat it with a humorous remark but I get the feeling that given the choice - many would certainly want to give it a go. |

My last partner who was and still is one friend I can count on one hand never ever judged me for the lifestyle but would never ever go to a club. Now we are friends again she would like to go to a club. Not ever to play and I think she is now just very curios. One way I tried to explain to her was its like going to a pub but with a hell of a lot more respect if you say no. Virtually everyone in a club looks out for the girls.
If I was ever judged for what I do with my life I'd ask if they have ever gone faster than 20 in a 20 zone. P.s. I'm not answering that one. Let's if I'm judged on not answering. |

Or telling anyone about their sex lives even though they didn't ask. It's some of the reasons that Swingers get a bad name.
Consent is key. |
