Senior management

I do wonder about people in senior positions at companies and how/if they attend clubs. It might be so scandalous to be recognised by the team members in the midst of playing at a club. Especially if they know you but you have no clue who they were .

Popped into my head as I am getting a promotion and worried about being seen in a club

I’m a HR Director for a multinational company…and I attend clubs.

It is a risk, but everyone is entitled to a private life

Having something with a person in a position of power is kind of sexy IMO

I’m finance director for a well know multinational brand

Haven’t come across anyone I know yet, but wouldn’t have thought it would be a problem if I did

Just means we would have something in common and I’m sure they would want to keep it as private as we do.

It shouldn't make any difference what position you are in a company but sadly some will use it to their advantage

People with good jobs like sex too. I can imagine they would probably prefer to keep their antics out of the limelight, but that's surely no different for most people on here?

Don't talk about work then.. or if you do have a roll that is interesting but unassuming financially?

I understand your hesitancy in more public settings. If that's a worry then play outside your area. Come to think of it, as I have steered away from clubs, most professionals I've met have been at distance.

Nobody ever knows that’s the great thing. It’s like a total equaliser being naked. I have met all sorts from a judge to a labourer,

That's why clubs have rules:

- no cameras or phones

- what happens inside, stays inside

Also, people have three types of lives: public, private, secret. The last two are nobody's business unless you are invited and allowed to share them.

Easier said than done. An old boss of mine had an affair with a woman maybe 3 times his younger, somehow it got out (I think because she wanted a promotion), neither of them kept their jobs.

If someone wants to be a dick they will be, how you sit with disclosing who you are the higher up the chain you are is up to you but shouldn't stop you from having the fun you want or that everybody else has.

We're all entitled to a private life; business and fun should be separately compartmentalised.

Mature life-stylers know this; some idiots do not.

From my experiences, circumspection is key when one is involved in swinging; everyone talks, so minimisation of risk is vital.

Ireland is a very small place where everyone knows everyone else's business, to a greater or lesser extent.

Myself and my former met another couple fairly regularly, and when we got to trust each other, this led over several months to regular BB DVP, an intense experience for all of us.

Our arrangement never leaked out into the public domain; our foursomes, some of which were recorded, are kept under lock and key-securely.
