As attention seeking ‘look at me’ posts go this one is breaking new ground! |

I've had bareback sex for 14 years and never got anything. I recognise luck has played a part, and hopefully that'll continue. But those that think if you bareback you'll be dead by morning do exaggerate the risk somewhat. Xx |

How do you know you haven’t the herpes virus laying dormant in your body. That’s right you don’t as no test for it. |

I think the problem is that it's always a gamble. In 15 years of being sexually active, I had an STI once. I'd had two sexual partners at that point, only one bareback, we were supposed to be in a monogamous relationship and he cheated on me and gave me an STI (thankfully something that could be cleared with antibiotics).
When I was at university, a friend of mine had a one night stand, the condom split and she caught HIV. It was fucking devastating for her.
So you could bareback 500 people and be absolutely fine, or bareback with one person and catch something - potentially something serious. |

I didn't even make it to 20 without contracting an STI.
Thanks to the fiancé I'd been with for three years, having been each others firsts we didn't use condoms. Seems he didnt use them with the prostitutes he was sleeping with and a nasty UTI uncovered chlamydia. |
