As much as I love the scene and realise how important sites like this are for organising meets I just cannot understand why there are so many timewaster here?!
For the third time in 2 weeks I have arranged a meet with people whom A. Dont turn up. B. Go silent after agreeing to meet or C. Txt message to cancel an hour before.
So frustrating, taking the time out for a meet and getting that excited build up only to be let down.
Maybe I should just stick with clubs... |

Totally understand your thinking temptress, I did look at that myself but can genuinely say, im both relaxed and straight forward in arranging.
Its the sad reality of having a free site in my humble opinion right now xx |

so the paid sites do have "time wasters "?? lol !! been on them and people complain just the same as on here .
what you may see as time wasting other may not . personally only if i had arranged a meet and the personnever turned up and nothing else heard from them . if people have to cancell at short notice well life happens ! ive had to do it due to family and would do it again.this is just an additional spice in my life, not the be all and end all.
if still happening then you do really need to revisit how you choose meets then. do you talk with them for a while of just organise a meet after cpl of messages ? are you exspectations realistic ? do you speak on phone to them? are they verified or on site years with no verification? ect ect ....
find out what works for you and maybe look at other threads on this subject to give you ideas .
if arranging meets isnt working on the site then look at the site socials |

Normally I'd say look at how you're selecting your meets.....
But now after 4 years of swinging with no timewasters, and what I've always thought was a good "selection process".... I've encountered 3 in less than 2 weeks... All verified (2 of them by me from non play initial meets) ....

Well you could leave and join a paysite - problem solved.
But in my opinion it is nothing to do with it being a free site and everything to do with your processes. There is a reason why some people have huge problems with timewasters/cancellations and others don't. |

Free site or pay site - personally don't think it comes down to money!!
It's something that will happen to all at some point - the trick is to be as careful in your selection process as possible - and to not build up your expectancy levels too much! If you don't expect the earth - you'll never be dissapointed!! |

It's the 'going through with it' problem do you think. It could be for any reason but I think for some, the arranging bit is where they get their kicks. It takes courage to actually action it. No back bone some people. |

Hi James M5,
You were lucky then. At least they had the courtesy to let you know an hour before. We had 2 single blokes on friday that swore blind they'd be along to see us.
Suprise suprise they didn't turn up and didn't have a shred of shame about not letting us know they'd bottled it. Both of the either texted us or spoke to us earlier to say they be here.
If someone give you an hours notice well that's not too bad really. We once had to let a couple down literally just as we were about to set off. Mrs N suddenly had come on. It does happen mate so don't be too harsh if people let you down like that. Also when you are a couple, family matters suddenly crop out of the blue so remember not everything revolves around the need to satisfy sexual urges. So to be fair 1 hours notice is better than no notice.

.....and i bet it said on there profiles 100% genuine / not a timewaster etc etc- if they havent the common decency NOT to tell let someone know they CANT make it then they should be named & shamed. It gives us "SINGLE - 100% GENUINE - NON TIMEWASTERS" lads a bad name. |

Having wasted time on time wasters already , now it's no go without chatting to the female of the couple , as she was always busy and could never chat , why single guys pretend to be a couple is so stupid they should be banned ,

There are timewasters in all walks of life and in non swinging ventures too as I'm sure you will all agree. On a positve note here's a big thumbs up to all the genuine people on here. It's what make this site especially so rewarding. |
