So hearing that there’s more and more fake profiles on here.
How many of you have been tricked into sending face pics etc to an account that then disappears ??
What can be done to change this ??
Makes for a very frustrated individual here lol |

I don't know what the answer is op, all id say is only send pics if and when you feel comfortable to do so.
Stay chatting on fab, in my experience people who rush you away from it, generally want pics sent.
Also you can tick the box when you send a pic for it to be deleted, if you're a site supporter. |

Difficult topic really. From a couples point of view you need to chat and see face pics before agreeing to meet. Just because you do this isn’t a guarantee it will happen.
I’ve also known occasions when pictures are sent out and then the other person disappears. Either swiped the pic or didn’t like what they saw. |

"I caught a few, photos looked professional so I did a reverse image Search. Called them out and reported.
How do you do a reverse image search? TIA"
You can screenshot a pic or save it to your device, then you can go to Google image search (must be in desktop layout) and there's an option to upload a pic from your device.
Google will then do an image search based on the content of the pic, sometimes it can find am exact match, like on a Facebook profile. Most of the time though it will just give you other images that have a similar look to them but are unrelated. |

I think people are finding ways around the reverse image search though and not sure how. I'm not a techie but there are definitely fake pics that don't show up on the searches!
PS. This thread will defo be closed within next 5 mins. |

Also just tap photo on here & hold & option will pop up to search Google for it |

Reverse imaging.... I open fab in Google chrome. Click on the image and it says search with google lens. This covers a majority of public Web pages. It that doesn't work but I have a hunch, I click on an image and I download the image and I upload to Yandex which has a broader search. I do this all on my phone. I screen shot my result and send it to the lucky catfish and report them. |

Must admit I dont talk to anyone who doesn't have meet verifications. But I also use kik, ask them to send me a little video saying something to verify they are real! I can usually spot a fake, and when they are asked to verify they disappear!! |

This 100%.
I don't know why people get so offended when you ask if they have Kik. So much stuff can be faked these days but it's pretty impossible to fake a face & voice message telling someone that "you're a little teapot short and stout". It's free and it's convenient.
Some people go straight to asking for mobile numbers and with all due respect with the amount of cranks and scammers around why would I give my personal number out after a couple of messages? |

Cool...I must install Yandex...never heard of it
But do peeps know some legit pics are on the internet also on other sites...So sometimes if a pic does pop up on Google Search it doesn't actually mean it's fake |

The problem is the old veri system no longer works.
Once upon a time a photo verification was a good start but photos.can be faked with ease now.
Same with web cam veris. I've seen new accounts pop up, stream a video of a womams breasts and some muppet in the chat room leaves a veri when its clearly fake...but it does happen.
Which leads you onto the whole "met in person" veri. It was a good thing once as well. Kind of an honour system. Freind of a freind sort of thing but again...with an influx of fake accounts over time, these can be faked as well....OR circumstances change. Couples split up but some guys like to try it on etc
Theres no easy solution or quick fix without a major overhaul of the veri system. Free sites, especially swinger ones will unfortunetly attract people just looking to perv on photos.
Personally we would like to see a separation of web and physical meet verifications. Maybe a blue tick for webcam.and green for actual meets...or better yet, a yellow tick to show they've met others in the last...say 6 months?
Heck...we could.even have video veris now if the site was willing where the person simply.states their fab names. More is better but costs money to implement.
Eitherway though...fab.needs to change with the times and offer a bit more peace of.mind to its.members because if they dont, another site will eventually.
All.it takes.is one smart coder to release an app that does.everything fab does but better and with a few extra user features.
Wont happen |

Not sure that last message will still be there in the morning. Any time I lost something about fake accounts my message disappears in the blink of an eye! |

If they do, they do. Their site, their rules. It's not a free speech platform and I get that but these things are happening and its not a case of if, but when things will change. Hiding issues wont fix them but community feedback may help change things for the better. |

For me KIK is a godsend! Its extremely hard to fake a video on the live camera function! And believe me I ask for some very specific phrases haha
I never give out my number! Youd have to be special as fuck haha!! |

Does anyone know why they want face pictures and what they do with them? I’ve always assumed they use them as profile pictures on other sites with other fake profiles but I can’t see what benefit they get from that. I really hope it’s nothing too ominous as I’ve sent a few face pictures to people and not heard back from them, I just assumed they didn’t like how my face looked haha.
I’ve just seems a profile picture that had the ‘go to website’ text on it that you get when you search images on the search engine that everyone uses that starts with G (not sure if we’re allowed to say the name of websites on here so just being cautious) |

We dont even use Kik much (only recently tried using it and we are crap at it) but its a shame people need to go through other 3rd party sites or services simply due to the amount of cranks on here. |

You can say "google it" because googling things is a thing. Google it.
Cant comment on your case but for women and couples though, certain guys (and it is guys) like you to share pictures of your adventures with them...just to promptly swipe them and post them on a image board elsewhere.
All those amateur photos and videos out there (the real stuff)...do you really think the majority comes from people consenting to it being spammed everywhere on all the popular sites?
