I don't normally have a bad word to say about anyone or anything but I am slightly annoyed.
A female user messaged me asking me to accompany her to a club. I have never been to one before so it took me a while to reply as I wanted to research it in terms of location, opening time, costs etc as I didn't want to waste her time in case it wasn't for me.
Maybe this is my fault but I presumed she wanted a lift so I wrote a polite message saying that I didn't have a car but the gentleman that gets accompany her would be very lucky.
She then said that our previous messages were a waste of communication and that she had her own car. I was then blocked
I don't want to sound bitter but surely I didn't deserve to be blocked for a small misunderstanding? Anyway, I wish her all the best. |

"What made you think she wanted a lift? "
Perhaps I am being too cynical but the fact that she wanted to go to a club with me it is like her doing me a favour since couples get in cheaper than single guys.
She and I are complete strangers so would she really inbox me first asking to go to a club with me and also give me a lift? I find that too good to be true so I assumed that the only reason why she would get in touch is for a lift.
I guess the moral of the story is don't look a gift horse in the mouth but that is easier said than done especially as a single male. |

"It says on your profile that you CAN travel tho........
Not everyone on this site is a timewaster or fake "
I can travel by myself of course as I mainly take public transport and with enough notice (at least a few days) I can get insured on the family car.
I did not say that she was a timewaster or a fake. I'm just gutted that we couldn't come to a resolution without blocking. In fact, she though I was the timewaster! I won't dwell on it as I am not even bothered now. Time really is a good healer! |

You call that a rant? Try harder next time.
Anyhow, you live and learn. Move on, she has. |

You come across well on these posts Op, I would just see it as a slight misunderstanding and put it down to experience. She may feel that you were rejecting her in a polite way, some women on here are hyper sensitive to any type of rejection. |

The most important thing on here is to take everything with a pinch of salt. The anonymity that the Internet gives is a curse and a blessing at the same time in my eyes. I think it's quite some times to convey what you really mean in a short email and people can misunderstand stuff very easily.
It is what it is for all its good and bad bits, nothing you can so to change it so just take it all with a pinch of salt and keep moving on.
P. S that wasn't much of a rant :P |

Personally if I received that in a message I'd take that as a "thanks, but no thanks" block so not to bother again and move on.
No ambiguity in your message, so don't know what your problem is. |
