There's been at least 1 successful prosecution. I believe it was in 2019 and there was quite a lot of media attention.

When I went for a routine STI checkup a couple of years ago, the nurse informed me that as I had a genital piercing, my name would be entered onto the nationwide female genital mutilation database. I had no idea and was shocked but pleased to hear that healthcare workers are being more vigilant  |

Its all down to having a father that puts his sons best intrest at heart.

From what I can recall, that prosecution only happened because of how badly they botched the surgery on the little girl.
It happens far more than people realise, unfortunately.
My biggest peeve (other than it happening at all to kids who don't medically need it) is the language used to describe it. Instead of saying 'circumcised or uncircumcised, how about referring to it as 'circumcised or natural/normal'. Saying uncircumcised makes it sound like it's a bad thing not to have had a usually healthy part of the penis removed. |

It effects more guys than you think. I assume you dont work as a professional in a support field directly with those effected.
Just because your experience may have been without issurs, doesn't equate to everyone else following suit.

I was circumsized as small child for medical reasons. Going through secondary school without the internet and Google. Also felt and looked different, never knew why something my parents never explained.
This effected me in my early teens.
It was my Grandma of all people who told me I was baby with very tight foreskin.

Circumcised here. I’ve never had any complaints. It was done when I was about 9 years old for medical reasons and I’ve never had any issues or complaints, maybe a bit of increased sensitivity leading to premature ejaculation which has only led to a quick recovery time so able to go again.

I was cut at a very young age for medical reasons, I have no issues about it and I love how it looks. yes I got stick at school but so did everyone, not for the same reasons, and it did make some girls want to see haha so win there. I also prefer cut or at least a fully retractable forskin. |
