Not read it but it has led my dominant side to be unleashed and attract some attention on here and another site

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!

Just had another wannabe Mr Grey message me...

Haven't read the books but hate them deeply for all the knock off know nothings who co-opt the names or suggest they take me to their red rooms...

terribly written but couldnt stop myself from being drawn into the fantasy...it is tame, but I only like the tame stuff...

worth a read if u want a gd story with lots of naughtyness however, not if u want a well written erotic novel or an extreme tale of bdsm

I enjoyed them, however badly written, and often refer to my rabbit as 50

just throwing this out there......

yes i will admit the books are poorly writte and its a shame he has to be broken in order to be into BDSM but....we often complain that people in the 'vanilla' world are too quick to judge based on anything a bit more sexually extreme

here is a book that has opened peoples mind to BDSM (again, badly written BDSM) and now we are all moaning because Ann Summers are stocking more or the have a go Doms etc

are we ever going to be happy??? lol

I (Dave) have been writing erotica for ladies for some time and have so far been unsuccessful in trying to get published.

Accepting that my writing isn't quite as extreme as my chosen publishers would wish (but having had great reviews from those who have privately read my stuff), I decided to research the first book of the trilogy to see where I stood against it and I was shocked at how badly written it appeared to be. Appreciate I'm hardly in a position to criticise as a non published writer, but I found this really tedious and as someone who also indulges in the Domme / Sub lifestyle, equally it was not so much inaccurate as more implausible in places. But that's just my opinion....

R tried to read the first one and nearly wet herself laughing so much at how badly written it was.

There was one line to do with static feeling like static (there's a shock) which had tears of laughter rolling down her cheeks.

Sadly a triumph of marketing over substance.

Reading the first book at the mo! It's ok finding it tame, not well written. Got caught up in the hype wanted to find out for myself what it was like.

Rumours that there's going to be a film mmm wonder who will play mr gray?

I haven't read them and no intention to. More a Jack Ryan, Jason Bourne type person: besides, I use wasabi as lube on my subs as a starter, this book comes across as tie and tease Mills & Boon.

As for the Mr Grey wannabes...please!

Well ive almost finished the third book now and ive loved reading it. A tad tamer than what i was expecting, but a great erotic love story with a twist, and very easy to read and get drawn into.

Essex.

Frisky(f) has read all 3 books, said they were ok, taking into account the poor writing skill. She didn't recomend them to me. She then read 'Haven of Obedience' can't remember who it's by. She told me to read it. Again not the best writer but a harder core story. If you liked 50 it's worth a read, if you didn't like 50 it still may interest you... Risky...

Wasabi.... Nice...I find deep heat is good or peel piece of ginger to insert up the ass(long enough so you can twist it and pull it out) gives anice element of pain

It's only got him using his hand and a but plug. The whip dosn't amount to anything.

Not sure where the BDSM comes into it as haven't found any and i'm the last part of the 3rd book

As said before it's a love story nothing more.

I'm sure if a real Mistress/ Master got hold of them ..... they would freak

Almost as inexplicable as Dan 'tell you what's just happened, then tell you what's going to happen next' Brown's popularity !

It did spark an interesting debate the other day about kids being able to buy literary porn, as there is no ratings system in place and whether books of that nature (or containing extreme violence) get sold to minors is entirely at the discretion of the retailer.
