"Open water swimming "

O/w is hard and cold. I take my hat off to those who do.

At Uni I took and passed the lifesaving Bronze Cross and Silver cross at a reservoir near Gatwick in October. No short wetsuits or thermals, just Speedos and a T shirt. Shame my best mate got a touch of hypothermia waiting for me to prove my rescue skills!

2 to 3 tines a week either pool or open water.. about 2 to 3 km each swim if time allows...

Keeps you in shape across all your muscle groups in one go

I learnt to swim five years ago,

Best thing ive ever done other than having kids is of course, lol.

Love it,

I swim for an hour each time sometimes doing 80 lengths of a 25 metre pool,

Feel great afterwards

Moved back to the coast after years in London. Have been a lifelong swimmer. Now swim in the sea every day, cold water. Does wonders for all extremities

I try and swim 2-4 times a week. It was for Ironman events until the pandemic hit. And they all got postponed. It prepared to do any just yet as they open back up but still keep swimming.

Love both the pool and open water swimming. Keeps me sane. Maybe ??
