Loads don't bother reading. Happens to us and others all the time.
In fact friend's of ours changed their profile purposely to "will fill in later" just to see if it made a difference because no one was reading theirs.
It didn't and they actually got more messages.
Though being honest OP, yours is on the big side. |

I read profiles, though it appears that few who message me have got past the photos.
OP, I am afraid I gave up reading your profile text... I found it disjointed, difficult to read and rather strange... sorry |

We just wonder if those that cannot be bothered have much success!
That said, there are some that can't be arsed creating a profile so horses for courses I suppose.
However profile or not, there is a reason and true ours is long and if we are about to share our partners then for US an element of understanding / similar outlook is important.
That said, we are not judging. Each to their own xx |

I normally read the bio before deciding whether to look at pics or not but i haven't read yours op simply because we are in different countries so the logistics don't work.
There is a balance though between making an effort and getting others to look at your profile the way you want them to.
When writing a cv it's a well known fact that employers look for highlights and bullet points and standout attributes. Anything beyond that is pointless as it doesn't register with the average reader. |

I read profiles. They provide a useful insight into the person/people behind them. It doesn't take long in most cases, yours is a bit of a novel though OP and, as I don't fit what you are looking for, I must admit I didn't read it all. |

Before you blocked me for laughing at a comment that made me smile I was going to suggest that maybe yours isn't read properly because it's exceptionally long
A sense of humour may help with your quest to find someone too |

I always read a profile because it's important to me to see what the man's profile is like especially if there's a message from him. Unfortunately there are still some men who don't read our profiles x |

Some people do read them and some don’t. Some profiles are long and some aren’t. Some profiles are all over the place and some are brief. It seems that it doesn’t matter at all if you’re getting what you want! |

Read profile in full, look at their likes, then their pictures/videos.
Then re-read if they take my fancy and Hotlist to message later or, message there and then!
I enjoy the long ones.....if they are not to dry OR, not to full of shite! |

Most don't read profiles before messaging but it then makes such a refreshing change when you get a message from someone who actually has read it.
If you show you've read our profile you'll instantly get my attention and definitely recieve a reply

People look at the profile pic first! I really doubt many read anything. Then they message (winks are a waste of time and I just mass delete them. What is the point of a wink anyway?). |

Haha. I know what you mean.
Yes, we read profiles but doubt anyone would read a novel. I think ours is quite long and was going to reduce it. |

Too long didn't read, a few simple things about you should be enough. But yes I read profiles and dont talk to blanks, its says so in my profile |

In our experience
A woman can have a blank profile with nil pictures and get messages.
A single guy could have a fantastic profile with tasteful pictures but his message will get lost amongst the tsunami of messages.
A couple not looking for single men will still get messages from single guys ( and an automatic block )
I could go on but you get the gist

I actually think yes, I blanked my profile last night and have had 4 times more messages… I think the reading on mine before put people off because I was detailed in what I’m looking for, now it’s like a free for all! The funniest are the ones telling me we have the interests and how beautifully stunning I am… on an empty profile gotta love fab! |

But are they messages that interest you or has the rubbish factor gone up exponentially?

I had a longer profile but realised that nobody was reading it all, so then did bullet points, so you’d only read the bits appropriate to yourself. That didn’t work either.
Now I’ve kept it short and it’s still not read by those messaging me.
I still get straight guys who’s profiles don’t mention being interested in TV/TS. Or not answering ‘Hi Messages’ both still appear regularly.
But on the plus side at least I’m getting interest |

I read profiles. They can tell me a lot about the person or persons before I answer a new message or before I message someone. I don't answer message if the bio doesn't appeal to me. |

Many clearly don't - case in point, over in the Meets Requests section a couple whose profile quite clearly states that they are not interested in single males had a "Would love to meet" response from...
....you guessed it, a single male. And no, it wasn't me... |

We only have a long one for the fun of writing it but eventually if we were meeting someone you'd have thought they'd have taken some time to read it lol
Short ones are fine for us but we do read them if we are interested X
Just can't be bothered with the lazy winks and friend invites from people we have nothing in real common with other than we are on a swingers site |

If an individual interests me then yes I will read their profile. You can get alot of information from a from a well written profile.
It may not be the same as meeting in person. But it should give you a flavour of their personality.

I do read profiles. Some members get around this problem using this method - In the last paragraph of their profile or somewhere in between, they say something like "If you have read through my whole profile, add the subject 'Rose' when sending message". So you can easily send any message without the title straight to the bin.
Hope this helps. |

I rarely read a profile..
Especially long ones ..
And if I were to read a long profile, I’d expect a decent standard of writing and punctuation..
Shows a level of intelligence, which I find a turn on ..
Op re-read your profile.. just saying |

Made it to the end! Phew! That was hard going in places, a novel by Dostoyevsky is easier to follow! Bit of constructive criticism here, hope you dont mind... Seems to be a lot of no's and not's more what you're not into than what you are? You're not into bisexuality, fair enough, doesn't float your boat (although lets be honest, unless they make a lunge for your cock how will you know?) You seem to labour the point a bit ( you couldve just said " I (m) play strictly straight. Sorry chaps!") Seems a bit ranty. And no offence but ranty profiles are having a knock on effect at our end. We have to work extra hard now to screen out genuine bisexual guys, have to get into long winded pingpongs with "fab"guys (who thanks to ranty profilez feel they're have to hide because "theyre not worthy" or desperate straight guys pretending to be "Fab" because they think they'll get to have a go on The Pussycat! And no. Youre right. They dont read profiles do they?! Best wishes CandDx |

Pic, then profile. If no face pics red flags and check for explanation in profile text.
If it don't fit on 1 screen shot I'm bored, and generally written by people with lots of what they won't do but not really what they will.
It's FAB, chill, be funny or not like me. You can explain all your rules in messages but think they turn people off if too many. |
