Are there any other couples or singles on fab who share the same feeling that after all the time out of fab due to covid that it's time to consign their swinging life to history?
We are talking about it. My wife is certainly at that stage.
We have over 14 years done some totally extreme things and loved them all. But what happens when you have done everything you ever fantasized about?
We are not sure whether to just quietly slip away into the night. Or have one last no limits mega meet before we go.
Are we the only ones affected by covid this way? |

This has been a conversation we have had. After lockdown I (miss) wasn’t sure if I wanted to as I felt like a newbie again and fab itself has felt like it has been filled with new profiles of fake people. It was starting to feel like a chore. But after a recent meet with a great couple who where really genuine. My faith is restored and we are here to stay! |

We more or less took 2019 off as we were unsure we wish to continue, having been forced to also take 2020 off as well means we are ready to return for a few more years but have said we will stop when Mrs turns 60 in three years time. |

Know what you mean, op. We sort of stopped before covid but covid has given us a bit of a second wind, there's a few things we're going to do we thought we wouldn't, not just swinging wise but unlike yourselves we haven't done everything we want in swinging, we will definitely retire from the scene when all is done. |

"Personally, it isn't something that needs to be all or nothing. We can just pop out to a club or meet up with someone, if we fancy it... "
Agree with this - it doesn’t need to be all or nothing. We’ve had periods of lots of fun, but now with a family and with Covid it changes things…and for us it doesn’t feel like we’re back to ‘normal’. But if we’re in the mood and have time we can look for a meet or go to a club - less pressure / expectation. Possibly it’s good to take a break or step back from time to time. |

If I was eating chips everyday, I guess that pretty soon I'd be sick of chips.
But I only eat them occasionally and I love them!
So if I fancy chips, Ill have them. If I don't fancy chips I won't. But then that wouldn't mean I'd give up chips for ever.

Suppose its one of those: ‘when the fun stops, stop’.
I’ve dipped in and out of swinging as it suited. Not sure i’d ever step away completely but i’d certainly rest it if it wasn’t appealing anymore. |

Over the years it goes stale and then picks up...it's all about the churn of new profiles etc...I took time out when needed and come back when my heads ready to go again...much harder for single females to keep going when other things hit us..early menopause kicked my ass but after a while I came back..at the end of the day its how you feel..covid just threw everyone off kilter... |

This is something we have spoken about too.
We took a break for nearly 12 months and came back just before lock down. So we haven’t met anyone from the scene for over three years. Just as we came out of lock down Mrs Brum then had a hip operation so that’s put us out of action. Now we are finding a lot harder to connect with others on here and other sites. |

Its been something that's been on my (Ks) mind over the last couple of weeks. With clubs near us not reopening ever and meets getting harder and harder to come by
Its a shame because I love it just getting harder for us |

For us this has ony ever been an occasional passtime if/when we found the right person and Covid hasn't changed this. We've often gone for quite long periods when we've not met anyone and that's helped keep the experience fresh for us. If we never meet again it won't be because of Covid, it'll be because we don't find the right person. |

I come and go on here. I can be off it for a while and then come back to see what's happening. Never get any meets but it's always nice to see the hot couples and ladies strut their stuff |

We stopped for years after having kids, but it's never been an 'all or nothing' kind of thing. I don't think we'd ever 'retire' from it altogether.
Perhaps just put a lid on it and revisit it if/when you ever feel like it? |

"If you feel tht way, then maybe its time to stop, if either of us thought about stopping we would tbh"
For us its not so much we feel the way of quitting more finding meets. Its disheartening |

It's being able to take or leave it. There are extremes where I have friends who dont have sex outside of the scene as it's too vanilla. I've missed the club scene and meeting socially. 30 years in the lifestyle so haven't quite yet found my limit! |

We hid our profile about a year ago and didn’t think we’d come back. Been back a week now and both really enjoying it, especially being back in touch with people we’ve known before.
If anything covid has made us even more determined to enjoy life. |
