How do people respond to a rejection message ?
I always respond with “no problems, have a great evening / day / night” etc
Cant see the point in been rude or bitter, it’s only a no.
Had one woman in Lanark Scotland message me after I sent her a nice message : “I wouldn’t fuck you with my neighbours cock”
At the time I thought WTF but I did laugh !
Interested in other peoples response to rejection or the best put down received. |

Oh, I get some really horrible abuse whenever I politely decline an offer. Usually all age related! If you can't handle rejection, you really shouldn't be on here. |

I wouldn't think their would be a valid reason to reply once they have informed that you aren't for them but if one doesn't reply then simply delete and block so don't stumble across. Helps to filter out your criteria |

Always polite and wish them well and thank them for responding and for being up front.
I don't understand why you would be rude about it. It's just life. Some people will be attracted to and some won't. It's no reflection on you or them. |

There's no answer to this. Some people get really abusive when turned down. Who needs that? That's why the site rules state that a no reply should be viewed as a polite 'thanks but no thanks'.
I bet most of those who believe not replying it inherently rude don't have to deal with too many crass, disgusting or otherwise annoying messages, especially from people who haven't even bothered to read their profile before sending them. |

I generally send a polite message back wishing them well! If they’ve taken the time to respond, it’s the least I can do! I don’t usually block them, as who knows whether in future we might be more compatible. I do put a note in their profile though to remind myself not to message the again unless things change.
I totally get why some don’t respond even to say no thanks. From what I hear, there are a lot of members who get abusive when turned down, and why would they put themselves out there for that?
I did recently ask (very politely) for some feedback on my profile and opening gambit, as a local lady winked at me, then immediately deleted the introduction I sent her five minute later (I don’t copy and paste, so it wasn’t that). She said try again another time as she just wasn’t up for it right now, but got too many messages to reply to them all (fair enough I guess). She also told me not to be touchy about it, which swear I wasn’t - I was just hoping to find out how I messed up the initial contact so I wouldn’t do it again! Once again I thanked her for taking the time.
I hate that people are dicks and get nasty when rejected, it really ruins it for the rest of us who are polite and respect people’s right not to want to get to know us! |

Just a " no worries, happy fabbing " from me. If I'm not for someone then no point dwelling.
I have however had someone turn me down on message and then say they wouldn't have turned me down after meeting them in person. Proving a point from another thread, some people are photogenic and some aren't. I am the latter |

I don't really look on here as I find it pretty hopeless or maybe I'm hopeless at it...lol
The folks I have talked to or had socials with that have decided it's a "no" usually just don't message again or send a polite message.
Those that haven't replied who have chatted to me for weeks I just don't get. Especially when they message you at all hours.
Those that send a polite no, get a thanks for your time and good luck finding what you want message from me in return.
I've been on the scene twenty years and can't be arsed with bother.
It's very rare I reject someone because it's very rare I get offers nowadays...

If I get a polite thanks but no thanks I respond in kind acknowledging the effort to reply then leave it.
Not had any rude responses yet but would just ignore as not petty enough to retaliate.
If it's unread, read or deleted I just leave it alone and take it as a no |

It is so disappointing the number of times I see that women are being called a slut for rejecting a man.
The men can't understand that if she is such a slut and still won't fuck you then you must be a proper grot |

The reality for us is that we reject quite a few single guys and it doesn’t hurt to be polite.
We’ve actually backtracked and ended up meeting someone we rejected. All because he was polite and would occasionally comment nice things on our new photos |

"This !!
Be polite, it might mean they don’t fancy meeting you at this time, but maybe in the future. Manners are free aren’t they "
This for me.
Ive email couples that have viewed me thanking them for their unhidden view of my profile and wishing them well. People don’t realise how demoralising it can be to have no views ‘logged’ when people are likely viewing your profile. As it says above, manners are free. |

"I don’t mind being rejected (it’s part of the game) but what’s frustrating is when your messaging someone back and forth and suddenly they stop replying or delete your messages."
Then either don't turn up for a coffee, or just look at the ceiling when you first meet them... |

I've never had to deal with a nasty rejection, if someone takes the time to say they are no longer interested then you should at least send a few words to the effect of thanking them for being honest and sorry you were not compatible, no point in leaving things bitter. |

A lot of women do not reply at all now matter how polite or respectful a message. And some others just block you mid conversation with out any warning. Even if they are sening you kisses and suggesting a social.
I calmly and peacefully, in my head, scream like a lunatic and imagine throwing my laptop accross the room.
After all, there's no point in being overly dramatic about these things.
It's not like its happened more than fifty or so times. |

I don't think I have had a response no matter how polite i am. Most go unread until they are auto deleted, to the point i have accepted i am not what anyone is after, so removed my profile at some point you have to accept the horse is dead! |

Basically the same, lifes to shorts to care about others opinions on you.
The same way we have preferences, so do the ladies on here. Can't be everyones type.
As for the miserable people who try to make others feel small with comments like that, ignore em pal. They're obviously are very sad people, who want others to feel sad as well. |

I used to just delete messages that didn't interest me and then I did an experiment of responding to every message I received.
It was about 25% abuse, 25% no reply and 50% thanking me for replying.
The abuse is annoying but I decided to continue replying to most messages. |

My standard reply to a thanks but no thanks message would be:
"Thanks for the reply and good luck!! Xx"
I believe in Karma and treating people with the respect I desire.
I then block and delete to stop me accidentally bumping into them again at a later date.

There is a spectrum of like-minded people on this site, the majority of whom appear to be reasonable, civil and decent (swingers), but one occasionally encounters people with particular issues, whether temporary or long-term.
The wisest course is to be polite and courteous and mature, despite the intermittent abuse, rudeness and goading.
Anonymity allows people to reveal their true personalities.
Bearing in mind my age, I personally don't expect much success, in terms of meets, but it is an experience and a pleasant one for the most part.
The occasional abuser, crank or addict does not deter me; in fact the more rapidly they reveal their true nature the better; one can rapidly move onto more potentially fertile ground, where I can spread my seed, to coin a phrase.

It was there way of feeling in power when what they really are doing is hidding behind a phone. If they said that in a pub they would get a smacking. Either by the person or the person standing with them. And then they would look and feel stupid. But say it on a phone. !!!! Nothing happens. |

The one time I had a rejection message on here I sent a brief response thanking them for responding, expressing my appreciation of their honesty, and wishing them the best for the future.
Then I kicked myself for my stupidity, because the last thing they probably wanted was another message from the idiot male they'd just rejected. Oops.
I don't know what I'll do if it happens again. Overthink things terribly, I expect. Hah.

Normally i'd reply with a thank your taking your time to message me, or ok no problem best of luck. But now most dont give a rejection message, they just dont reply or ghost you. I think the only acceptable response to a rejection reply is a ‘no worries, all the best’ or similar, or no response at all.
‘Politely’ responding with questions about why or asking for feedback, is as inappropriate as abuse I think, albeit less offensive. Why would you keep bothering a person who has already said they’re not interested? It’s irritating. You have to respect people’s boundaries and not keep forcing your way into someone’s inbox when they’ve already told you no. |

Just be polite and respect the fact that they have 400 messages to sift through and still took the time to respond - most don’t (understandably).
Sadly there will always be those who think everyone will fuck anyone on here, but if you went to a bar and asked 200 women if they wanted a drink most would say no! |

Be polite and move on.
When we started out we met a guy and ver’d him but got nothing back. At the time we were pissed, but now we treat this place slightly more transactionally.
But we do it politely, and occasionally just block people who act like pratts. |

"How do people respond to a rejection message ?
I always respond with “no problems, have a great evening / day / night” etc
Cant see the point in been rude or bitter, it’s only a no.
Had one woman in Lanark Scotland message me after I sent her a nice message : “I wouldn’t fuck you with my neighbours cock”
At the time I thought WTF but I did laugh !

Never bothered us and we just move on but we’ve had some awful messages back when we’ve rejected, the ones that make us cringe the most are when people ask what’s put us off.

I just thank them for getting back to me and wish them all the best. I do genuinely appreciate them being honest and responding as I completely understand everyone has their own preferences and I’m certainly no prize male specimen. The fact though they’ve taken that time to respond in a kind and thoughtful way to say in their own way “thank you but no thanks”, It’s very touching even if it not what I’d hoped for.
I really don’t understand why someone would be rude and offensive to someone when they’ve tried to let them down gently and have been thoughtful of their feelings when responding, though equally why be rude to anyone whether it’s a first message, responding to a message or reply back to a responding message. I’m newish to swinging and to Fab but to me Fab should be a happy, positive fun places to visit to socialise with like minded people and maybe make some friends. If that leads to anything else then great but predominantly a happy chilled community. Same as if at a club or party. |

Are you sure that wasn't a fella who got back to you "
It was a woman’s profile but you know fab it could have been a man.
Had a woman’s profile contact me last week and we got something arranged to meet then she said “I have a dick” it’s absolutely bizarre why would a guy set up a woman’s profile, I replied not for me thanks and blocked but it does make you wonder what goes through peoples minds !

Maybe not a guy, maybe a pre op trans woman. You should definitely have been made aware of her penis early in the conversation, before it gets to talking about a meet if that was the case. |

Some people are just strange. I take the same approach as you thanks for the reply as most don't here and hope they do have a nice evening |

No mention of it on profile, no mention of it for numerous messages over a 2 week period then arranged a meet and then “oh by the way I have a dick” |

why respond to a no thanks ? its not needed just leave it at the no thanks and move on ....
rejection is part n parcel to the scene everyone should expect it at any time nothing in life is a given ... just suck it up and move on |

I always reply with a polite message, manners cost nothing. Can honestly say I’ve only ever had one in polite response and I put that down to them probably having a bad day, if not I probably wouldn’t have got along with them anyway !! |

"Just a " no worries, happy fabbing " from me. If I'm not for someone then no point dwelling.
I have however had someone turn me down on message and then say they wouldn't have turned me down after meeting them in person. Proving a point from another thread, some people are photogenic and some aren't. I am the latter "
I find this. I also absolutely cannot work out if I fancy someone from a random body pic. I'll not reply to people for arbitrary reasons- copy and paste jobs, inability to use a full stop, just because they don't have particularly good photos and then I could meet them at a club and the person in reality has something about them that makes me go "wow". |

I’ve had this happen a couple of times a polite no thanks and then I meet the lady at a house party and things are different face to face definitely helps to see if there’s a mutual spark |
