Good question.
As corny as it sounds for us it is involving someone else in what we have.
We find a threesome more intimate than other forms of swinging and we have found over time that we have been enjoying sharing that intimacy more.
We would like to experience something more now. Perhaps someone that would like to share more than a one time thing.
Also when everyone is relaxed and some trust has been established it adds another input into what you all experience which is fun too.
We have been very lucky in clubs and other social situations but its mostly been an 'in the moment' thing.
We have found that here, online it seems much more difficult for people to seperate the couples that have no hidden agendas or to many rules. |

I had a 2 year relationship with a married couple, they came round to mine maybe every other Friday for some of the most sexually memorable moments in my life. If you're going to involve others in your sex life a 3 is probably the most physically together and intimate way to do that. You are literally sharing someone else together and you can all stay connected...if you're not feeling your partner cum, you can be feeling your partner make the other person cum...its very hot!!!
A 4 has the potential to be slightly more disconnected, you can all be playing but less directly with your partner. And a lot of people seem to like just swapping in pairs, so that physical separation increases. The more people you add it becomes more about seeing your partner's pleasure than feeling and sharing it more directly. 3 just also seems to be a more natural play number easier to all stay involved. IMHO!

I met a lovely couple quite some time back that summed it up for me. They said (like above), four way play has four very different variables.
However, the couple playing with a single guy meant the lady was happy with the attention, the hubby was happy with the outcome and the single was blessed to be invited.

I don't know why but mmf's were always an exciting fantasy for my first wife and I, almost from the start of our relationship, and eventually we did indulge, and had one regular guy and a few one-offs.
That stuck with me, so I'm in a regular mmf with a couple I met on here three years ago, but also looking for a bit of variety.

Firstly they are easier to set up. There’s only one couple to please, it’s almost still a 1-1 relationship - as long as the female is happy then it’s pretty much going to happen. With two couples there have to be no less than 8 ticked attraction boxes - each person has to like two others.
Secondly, with four in a bed pretty much you either pair off or someone can get left out. There’s only so much space around a human body. Not saying it’s every time but it can happen. So sure, you may be pairing with someone from the other couple - but it’s still a pair.
This changes if you know the couple really well. And also we have more options being both bi.
A 3 or a 5 works well.
