Hi, thinking of going to a nude beach today. I've never been to one before so not sure of the etiquette... Is it okay to have an erection whilst there? 
I understand not everyone wants to see that but sometimes it can't be helped and I wouldn't want to go there and have everyone freak out at me for being a perv or whatever! |

No, it's not okay. It's a public place that could have families, children, people who like an overall tan without being propositioned. This is like asking how your granny would react if you approached the Sunday dinner table with an obvious hard on under your shorts.
If you want to see naked people and get a hard on, go to a club. Don't mix naturism with swinging.
However, that said, there are nude beaches with a dogging area nearby and of course, lots of people fuck on the beach in the middle of the night.
Choose wisely.

One of the benefits of getting older ......I (Bry) need a lot more stimulation to get hard so don't think I'd have to worry about nude beaches!
Think the general advice is to make sure you have a towel handy, cover yourself up if it seems an inappropriate time to have a boner.
Or crack one off the wrist before you visit. |

It's OK if you are discreet about it. Lie on you front or cover yourself with a towel or sit in a position that doesn't draw attention to it. That's OK. What you should do is walk around saying "Oh dear, I got a boner". |

Well on the nude beach we go to in cliffony in eire the only erections we have seen are the ones that were playing and having fun. Never seen anyone walking around wirh one, think that's guys initial fear when they first visit. |

Sounds like it's fine if I'm discreet and turn over that's okay. Will just make sure to put suncream on my backside so I don't end up with a very red arse! |

I think you'll be surprised at how un-stimulating it actually is at a nude beach! Especially in the UK where it's 95% men (assuming you're straight) and 5% mature couples.
In Spain it's normalised and there's no stigma so you get a representation of the everyday population at the beach, so an even mix of gender and yes, some sexy younger women too. Yet you still don't find yourself getting a hard on, it's just not that type of environment. Maybe a teenage boy would but if a grown man can't deal with the sight of naked women in a mature manner then he probably needs to stay away from the beach! |

Yes, it's a lot less common than guys think, even if the first time starts with a frisson of excitement it quickly becomes 'normal'.
It's not ok to deliberately get yourself erect or flaunt it - most people don't want to see that, despite the impression you might get from some of the swinger-oriented online forums and discussions. If it happens, just be sensible about it. Sit up or turn on your stomach, cover up, and equally importantly I thing, don't act all 'oooooh nooooo I've got a hard on, I'm soooooo sorry, whatever should I do?' There's no need to draw attention at all, just be discrete and sensible about it. |
