I sort of get what you mean OP. I don't think he's suggesting doing anything without full consent, but I think some things have a taboo element that, when tied up, you can feel liberated from. |

It's a thing, some people like it some don't. In theory there should pre-discusiion, negotiation and talk of aftercare.
But in reality people who would not classify themselves as kinky do it as a sexy play thing (possibly furry handcuffs may be used and old school Tom Jones playing in the background) and generally don't worry about.
