So I've just been diagnosed as being depressed, not a shock as it's something I've known for years but never got medical help, doctor has given me sertraline and I start them tomorrow, my only concern is I've read it can stop you ejaculating and I really don't want that to happen, anyone had this issue or have any info on your experience of these pills |

It doesn't stop you ejaculating but for some people it kinda dulls the cumming sensation. It did for me for a few weeks then it was fine. Hope that helps |

Temporary side effect for most people who suffer it, it can lower your sex drive for a while and make cumming feel more difficult but after a short while is dissipates, your mental and emotional health is worth ensuring that for a little while you need to look after all of you x |

You’ve read correctly. I just gave up in the end as i was hurting myself trying to get to orgasm. When i stopped the tablets things went back to normal. Speak to your GP about it though they’re the best to advise you. Hope you feel better mentally. X |

I don't mind being able to last longer, but if it stops me cumming then I would have to stop taking them and stick to being the miserable sod I've been for years lol |

I was on that for a few years never found an issue with it. I guess from other posters it affects diff people diff way and all you can do is try it out. If after a few months it's not working for you you can have a conversation with your Dr and change the medication for some other. Your mental health issue needs the help that the medication can give and a couple of months to see if it's working won't kill you, but not taking it may do.
Good luck with it all. Sparks |

I have been is setraline since march.
It hasn't affected my sex drive or my ability to ejaculate, I think it is a side effect that affects a few people, one thing I have noticed though, whether it be as a result of me being in a better mind space, that my orgasms are a lot stronger and more intense than before |

I can’t comment on ejactation but I was on it for 10 months and it changed my life. Allowed me to access the therapy I needed and make some real changes to my life.
I’m one of the odd ones; my main side effect was mania for the first couple of weeks, it was amazing I got so much done! Not the same for everyone. While I was on them the sex was fantastic. They can be tough to come off, I was lucky enough that withdrawal just made it harder to get to sleep (huh forum posts at 2:45am, I’m not “cured”) but I tapered off and it was only bad for a couple of days at a time.
I was on them for anxiety and depression and was then diagnosed with PTSD a couple of months later. Good luck which ever way you decide. X |

I'm also on a same pills I was on 100mg at very first then my Doctor increase a dosage to 150mg ed.
After few days my sex drive just went down like really really bad. Got 10K IU of HCG (pregnyl) did first two shots and it helped.
Is worth trying people use HCG after steroids cycles when their hormones are really messed up I suppose. |

Nothing anybody tells you here is relevant to your situation. Side effects of medication depend on the individual, and yours may be minor or worse than what people describe. Try it and see, that's the only way you'll find out.
If the side effects are serious, talk to your GP and they can reduce your dosage or switch to another drug with the same mechanism as sertraline. |

Hated them.
Made me feel like a zombie always sleepy and tired, yawning all the time.
As for libido yes squashed that and cumming takes ages banging away and so frustrating you want to cum but just can't seem to get to the climax. |

It was one of the things I was warned about when I was on them but they didn't have that impact on me. I got the same warning for fluoxetine but that also didn't impact me.
I did eat a shit tonne on food while I was on them though, I had some pretty bad weight gain which is why I was moved to a different one after a couple of months.
OP give them a good try, and if you're having side effects that don't settle down please speak to your doctor again. There are a wide range of SSRIs out there, so sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to find the one that suits you best.
Good luck |

Sertraline changed my life (Mr)
I did suffer the side effects for a while. You are horny as hell but it’s very frustrating when you can’t come, almost painful in fact.
It does get better though.
Adding to this, I did suffer from Priapism many years ago which damaged my erecrile tissue. I sometimes now have a softer hard on, ie not solid.
Since I was prescribed Viagra things are much better. I now get solid and it makes me so horny.
So not all lost |

I’ve been off sertraline for about 3 month now, other than when I first started to take it I’ve had no issues with erections, but have struggled to finish, and still do more often than not.
Never had a issue with stamina before but now wishing I could be back to my old self as I’ve had partners question if it’s their fault not mine. |
