Do you think Chams needs a makeover?

I am surprised that it has only just been redecorated as we feel that it's a bit rough round the edges and possibly needs a "womans touch". We have looked on the net at other clubs (never actually visited any) and they look a lot smarter. Don't get me wrong , we love it there and don't plan to go anywhere else. It's just an observation. |

I think chams is wicked just the way it is the staff and the atmosphere is what keeps us going back and you just cant bottle it i agree it does over heat in there though x |

Yep to agree regarding how hot it can get in there
It can get too hot in there some nights and is quite uncomfortable , I have mentioned it to the staff a few times but nothing seems to change , every room you go into the rads are on on full blast
It's the one and only thing that I do not like about chams

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
It`s surprising what changes have been made recently. Others have mentioned some of them. The logistics of getting any maintenance done must be a huge headache with the opening hours, cleaning etc. in order to have the club ready for opening for the next session. I suppose you could always close areas off but you couldn`t do that everywhere. Imagine having to paint the doors in the couple`s changing room for instance. When could you do that without closing it off? Even if the painters were waiting at the door to start when the club closed, the paint still would be wet when the club reopens!
I think that apart from a bit of paint in a couple of the loos and the rips in some of the beds in the playrooms (probably wouldn`t happen if ladies didn`t wear high heels on the beds) I think the management at Chams do a bloody good job keeping it to the standard it`s in! |

I think re-decorating The Dungeon is an excellent idea.
Invite 60 minute makeover to film it and leave Claire Sweeney in there.
Two birds with one stone from my perspective ! |

"Do you not feel that it needs redecorating and defo needs some air-con."
It actually has air conditioning but its set at a level not to freeze people who are in an undressed state. If you are finding it too warm then you possibly need to look at other areas. |

I guess you could always do more but I like how they add facilities and keep the place clean and tidy. One of my beefs about some members (and not the staff) is when we go to a private room there are always the 'leftovers' from someone else!
I liked how the owner used the smoking ban law to make something extra and created the rooftop area with heaters, tables and benches. And even supplied dressing gowns!
And of course has added a lot more hotel rooms.

closer than you think |
"We have looked on the net at other clubs (never actually visited any) and they look a lot smarter."
Aaaah the power of advertising!! Of course other clubs will look fantastic on their website, they are hardly going to show flaky paint, stained carpets and furnishings.
Been to a few clubs and when you look closely, they could all do with a bit of a paint job.
For us, it is the people who make the club and not the decor |

"I agree, it's a great place and love going there. Nick and myself just felt that it maybe needed a lick of paint in places (especially the private rooms)."

ive been going to chams for 11 years and it was less than half the size back then than it is now, over that time they have constantly re done and made improvements, extended the bar ares several times, put extra play rooms in, make the changing room bigger, added a extra jacuzzi, added the cinema. put the dungeon in, put new beds in, re done rooms, added new swings, new carpets, decorated regular. put the smoking and none smoking out door areas in etc etc etc, im not sure what else they could do to be honest
Would be intrested to know what the OP would like to see them do? |

having said all that i do agree the play rooms really could do with air con, i have had to cut many a play session short because i cant breath in the small rooms, you can just about get by with two people in them but any more body heat than that is deadly |
