Doesn't appeal to me although not because of how it looks so much as it demonstrates a lack of self discipline and self control/regulation - 2 character traits I find very attractive in both men and women  L xx |

Mens Health did an article about them in Jan 2021
“The phrase "dad bod" refers to an average guy who doesn't have a lean, shredded physique. He might instead have a paunch or visible beer belly, without being hugely overweight—just like the stereotypical suburban father of a nuclear family.”
Based on this I would say most people use the term incorrectly as a way to label themselves as anything other than overweight or obese.
I’m just a fatty though, so /shrug |
