Thanks, we can speak Spanish...so I was asking, I have a status update that is confusing people
We love spanish and it sounds very sexy...so was hoping to find out if anyone on the forums also spoke it, or a foreign language.

But literal translation is

So I manipulated it slightly lol

About 12 yrs old,, I agree it's very sexy to hear,, just wish I could speak it back!! Oh well actions speak louder than words!!! |

Rosetta Stone, is good takes some adjusting to but it does give you some grounding... however do not expect to join in conversations in Spanish, they clip words merge words and have more dialects than is sensible! you can however speak one to one slowly and be understood. Only way to get it right is live there, though my sister has for about 20 years and still struggles with groups talking! |

Yes M has been doing it for a number of years, and he is fluent but last year went on a residential course and stayed with an old lady who spoke nothing but Spanish and quickly!
Took him some time getting used to her and understanding lol |

I just used little bits from when I went to Tenerife each year on holiday.
Google translate isn't that great because it translates word for word but not the proper sentences because other countries have different ways of phrasing things to us.
Useful ones...
Dos Cervesas por favor - 2 drinks please

La cuenta por favor - Bill please (in restaurants)
