Overrun with idiots!

More of a rant then a question,

This site is getting worse by the day in terms of the men on here, not all of them of course, there a some lovely respectful men on here, but there lives are made harder by the majority of idiots!

Are there any changes fab could make to improve things and make this site great again ?

It’s tough with the filters really, like in the sense I wouldn’t want to exclude and certain group based on the fact that a vast selection of them are idiots lol,

I think there just needs to be a bit of a revamp to the site to syphon out the crap, maybe like being photo verified before your account goes active or something, xx

Yeah agree, there should also be a minimum character requirement on your profile or something aswell, so many blank profiles about, I get some people like to be discreet etc, but should be a minimum of 1 clear face pic even if it’s set to friends only or private

Photo verify does not work

You need a live feed for that and the site owners would not pay it

99% of the verified photos on here are genuine

But it can be faked

And to implement your idea would just increase the problem

Hmm it’s a tricky one as I feel something needs to be done, not only is it not fair to the genuine users to have to receive the shit they do on a daily basis from the idiots, but it’s also unfair on the genuine nice men on This site, half of them

Ain’t even given a chance now because the majority of idiots on here have ruined it for them x

I agree but I’d put it down to me moving to a new area ans having a new profile. I was living down south in a much smaller community and now I’m in a city, so I thought maybe there’s just more crazy folk in Manchester.

I think theres a few things the site could do, but doubt they will :-

1. Allow us to filter just site supporters if we choose to, so essentially non-supporters don't exist.

2. Create a scoring system, if you fail to turn up for an arranged meet you get a negative score, and positive one for showing up. (stops the timewasters).

3. Force everyone to photo verify, not just females and couples.

4. Use AI to spot the fake profiles or repeat creation of profiles. Would be dead easy to do.

you’d be amazed at how many people have all of the above but still act like idiots many years ago I used to be on here with a lady and I couldn’t believe the amount of shit she had to put up with by people with photos and verifications

We dont even meet single guys or speak to unverified accounts but the last few.weeks has been a stream of guys pretending to be a couple (and admitting it) or somone catfishing with stolen photos.

It's a problem and its harming the site imo.

How does admin verfy that someone did/didn't turn up for a meeting say? It's one person's word against another's.

Maybe fab could have a policy that if your report a certain amount of times (with evidence of course) that your account gets banned ? Would maybe stop people from doing it

I’m sure the costs would go up with any kind of improvements like this, which would need to be passed down onto us. So it depends if people would want to pay that.

Yeah I’ve had a few “couples” that turn out to just be single men, but in a sense that’s where the mandatory photo verified could help prevent x

I'd be fine with this actually. Currently, nit a site supporter but if it was mandatory for everyone, I'd be cool as it just s out any timewasters or idiots.

True. I've spoken to a lot of "couples", but then say the guy wants to meet by himself at first without the woman present etc.

The best thing is to use your filters and mail the people you want to speak to.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
