I always see race threads on the forum and the answers are usually ‘its preference’ etc.
Just wanted to delve deeper into the actual reasons why a whole race can be wrote off based on skin colour alone.
Women who only like black men, why?
Women who only like white men, why?
Women who only like asians, why?
Me personally if a woman is my type regardless of race i could find find them attractive. What would stop you from finding a set race attractive?

I like what I like..
Jason Leonard or Jason momoa type. Don't like skinny blokes either nor tw@ts, smokers and facial tattoos. But we all like different so that's grand.
Set in my ways I guess.
As for races.. well for me it's my choice and experiences in my personal life certainly affect who I pick |

I can answer this one quite honestly. Where I'm from, everybody has dark hair and dark eyes. I'm looking for something different, hence my profile says I am looking for a blonde haired blue-eyed woman. And that's it! No sinister motives or prejudices.  |

Race is not the problem, memetics is the driver here.
Who would you respect more?
A black doctor or a black dust bin driver.
The problem is most racists (from all cultures) are people who drive dust bin wagons, (Metaphor) not a generalisation.
Social values (memetics) the higher the complexity of thinking, the less ‘isms. |

They just sound like the stereotypes of those traits rather than actual, personal reasons tbh.

The only reasoning is if the person finds them attractive nothing more nothing less whilst their might be a preference doesn't mean that each one they would feel attracted to regardless of race we all find someone attractive regardless of race |

That I find really interesting. I am from somewhere where blonde and sandy haired (albeit often sun tanned) women are a noticeable majority. You don't see much brown or black hair dye on sale!
I have always been attracted to the less available, just like you are. I wonder if this is natures way of counteracting inbreeding. There was a definite risk of inbreeding in my island community in the past. Less so now people from other places have gone there in recent decades in search of well paid finance sector jobs.
The darker the better for me. So much so that I have found myself amused to learn about milky skinned Asian women commanding a higher desirability as brides for certain social groups within their own race. |

Totally agree. I’m white and I have found many black women’s arseholes maddeningly attractive. Also full boobs and wide areola that they more commonly have. Delicious. |

I personelly find black women very attractive but for some reason they are not very active about NSA sex as this site proves as most women on here are white and only a small portion are black. Even in the real world trying to find a black woman to hook up with or even date is really hard unless you live in a big diverse city. |

I appreciate beauty in every colour. If a guys handsome then he’s just handsome. Skin colour doesn’t determine handsomeness. Bone structure does, nice jawlines, nice noses, distance of eyes from the nose, eyes and lips. |

Well, here goes..
Pallid and, particularly, blue veined flesh usually gives me the creeps, including on me when I 'm unlucky enough not to get plenty of winter sunshine, as in the last two lockdown winters.
Sorry to be blunt about it and no offence meant but that's how I am. Only had one blonde GF ever and she was a sun worshipper like me. I once got over excited when I saw her walking in the distance and mistook her for Indian!
My subsequent (last 3 decades) black and Asian companions usually seek out the shade at Eureka so sometimes we have to find somewhere half in half out of the sunshine!
I rarely give blondes even a first look but my head turns constantly for dusky maidens/matrons.
If I lived somewhere like back home and had no dark temptation around, I think I would probably stick to my other hobbies. That is usually the case when I go there! |

The well known dateing site you speak of has more fakes and liers than on here so i shall kindly decline lol. Also there are not many black women on the dateing scene for some reason even on that crappy site you mention. |

It's more about choice and preference.
If I can have Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream, that's what I'll get.
That doesn't mean I don't like the half baked flavour but given the choice is almost always go with cookie dough.
Still sulking there isn't spirit edition Haagen-Dazs in UK though  |

I beg to differ. Although I might concede that there are not as many black women on there as absolutely no hoper white women.
As far as sexual encounters are concerned, I do far better on there. With my search parameters set for Black, Asian and Mixed only, I am spoiled for choice and that's with age and location filters as well. If I wasn't fussy and kept my profile on display, I would get inundated with lookups and contacts.
I could wait all day for requests to meet on here. I only use Fab to touch base with friends from Eureka and to enjoy the forum activity. Only heard of Fab when naturism became sexualised (not complaining, most of us like a bit or we would never have got so overpopulated!) |

"Why?" is a question best avoided when it comes to sexual tastes, preferences, etc. Almost always impossible to answer. Might as well ask "why are you straight?" or "why do you like boobs?". Our tastes and preferences, kinks and dislikes are all unique and we don't choose them. |

But yeah, I dont care much about ethnicity. I'm either attracted to someone at first glance or I'm not. In some cases I can tell you why. In others I cant.
In short I know what I like and dont like but I dont always know what I dont like till it's in front of me if that makes sense.
Not something that needs justifying to be honest. Sadly, some on fab want to make it all.about them and make out your bigoted in some way for not being I to something about them. |

For me personally it's an energy thing. Men from a culture that subegates women I find not to my liking. Maybe I'm throwing the proverbial baby bath water and all that. Cultures lacking respect doesnt fit well with me. I've played with Asian males who are Sikh but find the Muslim energy not for me.
Caribbean males feel different to African males.

There is preference then there is excluding an entire race based on skin colour alone. In employer law if i discriminated someone who applied for a job based on there race alone this would breach the Equality Act. Im just trying to get some honesty as to what would stop people seeing an entire race regardless of there looks, personality, physique etc. |

I think, as has been said, it is basically down to personal preference but those preferences will be founded on something which may be buried pretty deep in our subconscious which makes it difficult to verbalise it & explain to others. I think past experiences, biology & cultural influences all have a role in determining who catches our attention and who doesn't.
I tend find men with dark hair more appealing, in fact I've only ever been in one relationship with someone who had blonde hair, I can look at blonde haired men & appreciate that they are attractive, but they are not my preference. I suspect it is probably in part rooted in the fact that my one relationship with a blonde wasn't a particularly healthy one for me and thus, subconsciously, I tend to steer clear of them. My preferences may also be influenced by the fact that my father, grandfather and uncles all had dark hair, they were the significant male role models in my life growing up & thus, for me, there is a feeling of familiarity and safety associated with dark haired men.

Now that’s someone that understands what the OP is trying to generate - a stimulating conversation about why we think the way we do about certain people. The last post before the above also raises some aspects of the reasons why.

A lot of people do not have the intelligence or insight to be able to adequately debate and discuss such matters. They don't recognise their own biases, subconscious otherwise. They're often the same people who do not see any racist undertones in terms like "BBC".

I will say personal choice, sometimes and even if can sound wrong could be a bad experience and some ppl tend to target a race, color on it.
I can tell you and speaking from myself, I feel more attracted to those I am not used to see for example gingers LOL but, I won’t deny that if I have a bad experience in some how I defo won’t be chosen those that can remind me of it.
But as I always said, there is a different taste for all of us some ppl like sweater things others salty or bitter.
I’m a bbw I’m not the cuppa of many and that’s ok because, not many are neither mine some ppl thinks that because I’m bbw I will go and take all lol and no way. I’m not desperate lol

I do think that upbringing & cultural influences definitely play a part.
I grew up in rural Scotland, there were literally no people at my school who weren't from white, Scottish, backgrounds. I absolutely have no racial preferences, but equally I have no sexual experience of people from different race or cultural backgrounds, maybe one day I shall have that opportunity & shall form a preference as a result.

Interesting question. But I don't think you will get an answer better than "Personal preference" from most people. Visual attraction is something that develops over a person's life through various stimuli. It's hard to give a specific reason why you like a particular skin colour just like how it is hard to explain why you like a particular colour of clothing. |

Obviously no matter how many people you meet swinging, it's only a very small percentage of that race.
However when you have interacted with say 10 people and you have had 100% bad experiences, you are probably going to not be interested in meeting more people of that race and as they say bad news is halfway round the world before good news has its shoes on. |

As an Brit Indian, it's a bit frustrating to hear that, because you're right. Some experiences CAN have an effect on people's mindset when it comes to certain races. I guess it's being stereotypical as not all asian guys are like that. I mean, take me for example. A mild mannered guy

I do tend to find that asians are not permitted at parties etc and the reasons I have been given is because their culture generally means they are not as respectful towards women. I personally don't agree and it does depends on the individual. I like what I like be it black Asian Chinese or white.
The only thing I steer well clear of is foreign accents. Not because I am racist in anyway but because my ex husband had a foreign accent and now I have ptsd. The sounds of a foreigner whispering in my ear dries me up completely.

Well I guess we both agree it's wrong.
I will say though that Racism can just be what you think. (Prejudice and prejudge have the same word root).
Discrimination is when you put your racism into action, ie, you treat people differently because of your racism. You actually discriminate against them.
But whatever terms we use, I think that deciding all Asian men will be "bad" based on three Asian men in a club, is just plain wrong. Definitely Darcy can dress it up anyway he likes, but it's racist.
I wonder even do some Fab members know how huge Asia is and where it stretches on the globe? In terms of appearance, I would suggest that somebody from the east of Turkey (on the border of Europe) will look quite different from someone in Afghanistan, will look different from someone in Sri Lanka, will look different from someone in Singapore, will look different from someone in Jordan.
If we are talking about appearance (rather than cultural differences) then there's no such thing as one single Asian appearance.

The nicest of guys we've met have been black, our best meet was with an Asian guy. Don't get me wrong we've met a few guys that are black who were dicks but that on reflection was our lack of questioning, we don't make those mistakes anymore.
Never met a bad Asian guy, we don't put this down to race but choosing poor people to meet. There's crap in every race on here and that includes white guys too, we just try to avoid the bad ones whatever race. Never has race determined our preference when it comes to meets, we just seek out good people regrdless and always will. |

And yes I get that it's personal choice ... but where has that personal choice been developed from?
Society?
Media?
Experiences?
Life?

"The nicest of guys we've met have been black, our best meet was with an Asian guy. Don't get me wrong we've met a few guys that are black who were dicks but that on reflection was our lack of questioning, we don't make those mistakes anymore.
Never met a bad Asian guy, we don't put this down to race but choosing poor people to meet. There's crap in every race on here and that includes white guys too, we just try to avoid the bad ones whatever race. Never has race determined our preference when it comes to meets, we just seek out good people regrdless and always will. "

How awful that people will have bad experiences with one particular ethnicity and then be wary of that ethnicity afterwards.
Takes some real white privilege and unc0nscious bias to "other" people like that.
I was married to a black man, had a very unhappy marriage but I wouldn't avoid all black men now. White men have collectively caused me more grief than all other ethnicities combined. |

Its virtually impossible to define preference. We both have friends from the West Indies and Asia who we love to spend time with but do we wish to have sex with them? No. For no other reason than we don't find them physically attractive and at the end of the day in the case of someone who is not your life partner its the body you are engaging with. Not the brain.
Are we racist? If you apply the very narrow question of whether one race is preferred over another. Yes I suppose we are, but only in the very narrow area of conjoining our bodies with others.
There is more to life than just physical sex. |

I'm not sure I would put that down to white privilege.
Some men from India treat white women badly in clubs, does that mean they have Asian privilege or is that just old fashioned racism or is it down to cultural differences?

I myself am attracted to women of all backgrounds and yes my reasons do include superficial over generalized physical features that women may have depending on their ethnic background.
Not for a moment do I try to kid myself that skin tone doesn't matter. I celebrate the differences and I make no apologies for them either.
Having said all that the ultimate determining factor for me was is and always will be chemistry. |

For us it is attraction regardless of anything else, however, have had a couple experiences with Asian single guys in clubs (we don't play with single guys regardless of race) which gave had a negative effect on us. |

I guess it’s attraction but I don’t rule out specific cases, as someone can be attractive no matter the race, you just kinda need to be open
I’m mostly into Caucasian guys, but I love mixed race guys and had a few great black guys and Indians. I thought they were fit so. Why not |

I have met attractive ladies with all different skin tones and nationalities. Beautiful is beautiful regardless of pigment.
There are also many physically attractive people who have personalities that quickly make them unattractive.

I don't think people are really in control of what they find attractive. I don't have a specific race that I'm attracted to. I like taller, dark haired, olive to darker skinned men. Generally not attracted to blonde men or women. No idea why! |

Over the years I've been in my lifestyle 99% of partners have been white british
The other 1 wasn't white still British
So I could say I prefer white British
And I think I'm more attracted to same race same ethnicity as me
