Unwanted contact on social media platforms.
Jump to: Newest in thread
This just happened to Princess via a well known global social media platform.
We are quite open with regards to showing her face pics and using her real name on occasion, but having someone contact her on social media and then using her full name on here has raised concerns with me.
Thoughts? |

We had this, politely declined a lady, she then continued on to add the Mr on another platform. I've still no idea how she found him, it's definitely made me wary, however we didn't give any details out. |

If you have public face pics, use her real name and/or as above give out a phone number, it will be easy to find on social media platforms. I do it myself as 'due diligence' as an additional way of knowing who I play with. If you don't want it to happen, then you need to not give out surnames and use kik instead of WhatsApp |

Ideally people would understand that what happens on fab stays on fab but not all of them do. The reality is that some people will make it their business to try and find you elsewhere. To this end I'd advise not showing faces, using your real name on line, advertising your location at any given time of giving your phone number to anybody.
It's horrible when this sort of thing happens block them on any platform they've used to contact you. |

If you are concerned then maybe don't use her real name and facepics in future |

It's a bit of a dick move on their part to be honest. Whether or not you use real names or show your faces people should have the decency to understand that social media is out of bounds.
Sadly they don't so it may be that you will need to review how you use this site to protect your non fab life. |

Very few people on here know my surname as I don't want that hassle! The only ones who know my surname are a couple of friends who I knew pre-Fab and a couple of colleagues who are on here.
I always take the position 'what happens on Fab stays on Fab!' |

"We use kik,and only share details with a very select few, usually only couples, and rarely single men."
Check your Kik settings. You show your Kik ID publicly on your profile, so absolutely anyone can message you or look you up; make sure your Kik isn’t displaying your real name.
When I first joined, I set Kik up using the username I had at the time - bad idea because people were guessing it and messaging me to get round my filters. Worse than that, I didn’t realise I’d set it up showing my real name, until some creep messaged me on Kik then when I ignored him, tried to add me on Facebook and contacted me on Messenger. |
