Off the back of another thread. What does the term subspace mean to you?
There are no right or wrong answers for purposes of this thread as it's an opinion I'm looking for so please say, even if your view/experience differs from others.

When I am subbing, sometimes I go into a wonderful, peaceful state of mind where my thoughts are calm and I'm only really concentrating on what's being done to me. I am very relaxed and can take more pain in that state too.
I've seen it in partners when I've played the Dom/top role too. |

Gosh it's so varied for me what it is. But in general it makes me mute and if in very deep I loose the ability to feel pain. Apparently my eyes turn black and dilated. I'm essentially not on this planet. I love it  |

I thought I knew what it meant but now I'm not so sure. Definitely agree that there's no right or wrong answers as it seems to be widely varied by person. |

Sub space is different for everyone, I've seen it be a peaceful blissed out place, I've seen people exhibit signs of shock in "sub space" everyone is different and everyone's experience will be different

Subsoave varies massively, not only from person to person but also from time to time....
I've been completely blissed out on occasion, totally melted from brains to toes. That's my favourite. |

The first time was unreal,
didn't know what it was at the time, just felt so light-headed, a state of euphoria with a smile on my face.
The young lady I was with simply wrapped a blanket around me, cuddled up to me and explained it all..... |

Geek alert: subspace is the band they use in Star Trek to communicate over stellar distances. Hyperspace is a term often used to refer to faster than light travel. Christ on a bike we need to get out more  !! |

Subspace is a deep level of trance.
George Miller found a magic number 7+/-2.
He found that if you overpower between 7 and 9 cognitive conscious thoughts you induce an altered state trance.
So by creating a number of different sexual sensations you break conscious awareness inducing subspace.
Not rocket science.
However, it is a privilege and a honour to be part of.

Think it’s more of a dance, a balance.
I suspect it is the type of dynamic that controls the scene and how the power shifts play.
Think attempting to stabilising the dynamic to generalise it, is not a good idea, personally. |

And also a man's. For me, when a playmate is in sub space it's important I am there to provide aftercare and make sure they are ok. Cuddles, fluffy blankets, water, milk, sweeties and cookies are usually to hand. |

See I view it as having a sub zone where I'm focused on my Dom and what we are doing, this can be brought on simply by a look my by Dom. And then a subspace which for me personally requires some form of impact for me to access it. |
