I find this sote exceptional at being "stuck up"
I think there is no problem with having a preference or a style, but I feel there are too many people who act way above their station. |

what is undoubtedly more disappointing is to see people using a fun site and it's forums to criticise others for the fact they cannot make it (the site) work for them, when in actual fact, it is pretty obvious it is only their own snobbery, expectations and pre-conceptions that stand in the way

Remember though, that us people on the site, you included David, are all individuals - though the sum total equals Fab. As such you may notice trends, but we're all doing our own individual thing.
Would it be right for others to cast you in the same light as someone of the same sex, town, age or social group? Probably not, even if you share some commonality of behaviour and tastes, you're still unique.
I think you were saying though, above all - and you didn't say much - that too many/most people on Fab are too up themselves, or something like that.
Perhaps you'd like to clarify? Other than that, you seem a decent person, here for the same things that the rest of us are too, so we do share things in common, but not everything. |

I think the OP was having a stab at the arrogance of some people. The mistake I see is that it's tied it to wealth, class and background, which are not always deciding factors.

Text speak, to me, indicates laziness and poor attention to detail.
It's difficult to understand and I can't be bothered.
If someone can't make the effort to write a coherent message, I doubt they'll be a decent shag. |

Apologies for the typo; I'm not the best with a keyboard...
I write my post because I believe some of the attitude discovered in profiles stinks. You would have thought many profiles would have been written by an "untouchable princess" who has a problem with reality.
However it comes as some surprise (at first) that many of these profile are written by foul mouthed keyboard-cowgirls.
For a website that should have at its core an ethos of friendship, it is unfortunate that many profiles display examples of cattyness and hostility.

This is a site which should have at it's core an ethos of total sexual honesty...
And yet I get many messages from people who are playing away without their partner's consent or knowledge.
And yet I get messages from people who would never have a "woman like me" in their home or bed.
And yet I get messages from people who when they are turned down tell me that I am not their type either as I am "a bit fat really for a self-respecting man" or then I am "not at all pretty" (those are the polite versions!).
The common denominator?
All of these messages come from men - I don't have any interest in couples or single women.
This site has it's fair share of idiots and morons and rude people.
Perhaps some women get carried away by being in such demand on here. But there are plenty of balanced, polite, courteous and fun people on here.
You can discover a lot about who you are about to message by the way the profile is written. If it reads as arrogant then simply move on. If someone doesn't reply then they're not interested, move on.
I hope that you got it all out
of your system in your rant. Take a breath, count to ten, make a cup of tea and then have another browse and hopefully you will find some of the gems this site has.

Sorry mate, this is a Swingers site - not a friendship site. It's meant to help those who enjoy recreational sex enjoy that to the full and to talk to and/or meet others who are looking for the same. Friendship does not have to be part of that. Mutually enjoyable sex (and what each participant 'enjoys' about it may be completely different) does have to be part of it.
Although I do agree with you to some extent that there are some VERY 'off-putting' profiles on here (It's no different on any other swinging-orientated site) and all you can take from those is...... 'It's his/her/their loss' [that you click on to the next profile]...
You just have to focus on the few which ARE written in a way that attracts YOU and that YOU feel warrant your BEST efforts in writing an effective intro message and 'hope' it gets you a positive response...

It was a sarcastic joke.
I'm not on about you personally, it's the ones who complain in the forums about not being able to get a shag when to be honest they ain't the most aesthetically pleasing specimens to start with and can't really string a cohesive sentence together and they then blame the way they type messages as to why they ain't getting a shag and nothing to do with the women possibly thinking they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole to start with. |
