We are thinking of having a trip out this weekend with it being a Bank Hol and maybe visit Holkham beach, does anyone know if there is a separate part of it for nude sunbathing and if so how do we find it ?..... let's hope it's nice and sunny !!!!! |

It’s a beautiful beach. Get there early and park in the Lady Ann’s drive car park. It leads to the beach. Turn left by the dunes & woods, walk for about 30 mins, just after a few brick farm buildings turn through the woods to the beach, that should be the naturist bit.
On a sunny warm day it’s bliss. Enjoy! |

Holklham is one of the best naturist beaches in the UK. It is huge!
Park in Lady Annes Drive, walk or cycle to the the sea end and turn left (West). Continue along that path, past an old cottage and after a further 150 yards turn right along a path down towards the sea. Go over the dunes and you're there.
The dunes unfortunately are no longer naturist but the beach is so large you will have lots of space. If the sea breeze is too cold then go in the dunes and strip off, because all any warden will do is ask you to put something on! Enjoy! |

"I heard a few years ago that they had banned naturism on Holkham beach due to Sandringham Estate, not sure about the validity of that though."
Only banned in the dunes, after 'lewd' behaviour was reported! |

Had a great weekend, the weather was great, we found the naturist area but it's a fair old hike from the car park, i reckon near a mile and a half !!!, the beach was freezing cause of the north wind blowing off the sea so we just went into the long grass 20 yds in off the beach and found a little hollow where we stripped off, there was no one about and we were left in peace to start off our all over tans !!! |

Hi, thinking of visiting Norfolk during the summer and the current sunshine has me in the mood for an all over tan. Any advice on where the naturist part of Holkham beach is? Not been before but gather it is quite a big beach- would want to make sure I found the right place before stripping off! |

No worries on that score, in the good weather you'll see lots of naked people. Have a look at our earlier posting here for directions. Have a great time! |

Typical British reaction. What’s wrong with a bit of harmless consensual fun out of sight? As long as it’s out of sight of course. |

Nothing..unfortunately it wasn't always out of sight and you do get naturist families coming through the dunes too.. |

That’s totally unacceptable, I agree. At some beaches there are quiet places out of the way where you can have discreet fun |

. Once you're laying down in the dunes at Holkham, people on upon you before you know. |
