I don't mind a wink, even send them sometimes. But I don't always check them. Some people really don't like them. If check them and been winked by someone I like I'll wink back. I would say tho as many people don't check them, I would never rely on a wink to someone to initiate a contact with them though. |

"Nothing against winking, but very rarely respond. Would much rather have a message. "
Messages definitely the way to properly engage but if you come across a nice profile a wink is a quick way of sending appreciation. Maybe to be followed up with a message. |

We’re partial to a wink.
We use winks as an icebreaker and a way of letting other fabbers know that we like their profile.
If they wink back we might follow this up with a message and see where it takes us.
We don’t consider winks to be lazy (having next to no information on your profile, now that’s lazy). |

We used to look and would reply to a wink we liked the look of. It got so frustrating as 99% of the time we replied to a wink with a nice thought out message we got nothing in return. We gave up on that feature of fab and saying so in our profile. People who wink us now obviously haven't read our profile, not that we know who they are as we don't check them, just delete them. A nice message is a much better way to make contact in our opinion |
