Bit of a strange one. A couple we've met with twice before lockdown, and who we have been in contact with occassionally across it, has invited us to their wedding that's taking place in a couple of months.

We only know them and none of their friends or family - as far as we're aware no other LS people will be there either. It feels a bit weird going to an event where we don't know anyone and one we'd have to make up an excuse about how we know them

Are we overthinking this, or should we just go and celebrate their special day?

If you like the couple and they like you enough to invite you then you should go!

Talk to them in advance though to get your story straight on how you all know each other

She wouldn't be the first bride to have another guy before the groom on her wedding day..!

Some friends of ours got married in the UK a few years ago and deliberately didn't have sex that night.

They flew to Cap the next morning and went straight to the sauna where she took ten guys bareback.

Four hours later they were back in their apartment where they duly consummated their marriage.

Bizarre but true...

Go if you want to and if anyone asks how you know them say "socially" and tell them you met at a social event. If you'd feel uncomfortable, don't go. Weddings cost a lot of money so if you're not going let them know in good time

I used to have a long term hotwife she used to spend weekends with me even went on holiday together every one thought we were a couple and all the time her partner was at home, when they got married I was invited and I went didn't know anyone there and it was a great night and I felt very privileged that as a couple they trusted me enough and liked me enough to be at there wedding and although we no longer meet sexually as she had children and has taken a break from the scene, I still go for drinks or a curry with them both and my freinds and even previous girlfreinds know them now, everyone just thinks I know him through work

That's a good way of looking at it. Although I think you may have spent more time with your hotwife than we have with our couple

I guess I'd best pick out something nice to wear

A swinging couple friends of mine did go to the wedding of another couple - they thought about playing but the logistics were too difficult

You should go. We went to one of our Fab friends 50th party a while back. Same thing, we just said we knew them from being friends many years beforehand but had lost touch. We had a great night with flirting but had to be extremely discreet.
