Male Circumcision
Jump to: Newest in thread
As a sequel to a thread I saw earlier (difficulties with foreskin retraction...),
Is there any downsides to male circumcision? Is there any reason to not do it?
On the flip side, is there any upside to not doing it? Any pros and cons to male circumcision? |

Mr retro had too get circumcised due to tight foreskin developing and causing hi pain. The operation / stitches had him in pain for a couple of weeks, and he found it had made him a lot more sensitive when having sex... Therefor he usually lasts around 15 or so minutes the first round, but after this can last a good long time for round 2, so plenty of foreplay for me before, after and in between.. its overall been a plus. |

The reason not to do it is because penises are supposed to have foreskin. You should only cut off healthy body parts if there is actually a reason to do it, not because there isn't a reason not to. If we used your logic we'd all be chopping off our earlobes. |

Yep, all that. Mental that it's even a question in western society, let alone a presumption in the US of States. |

I guess some of the things we are trying to find out are experiences from men who can compare either side of the skin, if you get what I mean.
It will be great to hear what women think, having "experienced" both and having observed men of both sides.
No assumptions, no judgements; just learning. |

I was exactly the same when I had mine done, the discomfort from sex and even masturbation was hell yet after a few weeks and learning how to pee all over again it's been nothing but good times and far more hygienic (had thrush once with a foreskin, never since cut) |

Had it done for medical reasons after my ex-fiancé ripped my foreskin and it healed too tight.
Lost a lot of sensitivity so I wouldn’t recommend it for anything other than medical need. It now takes me much longer to orgasm but on the plus side never had a partner complain. |

If people need this doing in medical grounds then it’s great we have the NHS to do this ..
If it’s for any other reasons, especially on children then it’s barbaric..
It’s 2021 and you’re in a free country!! |

Speak to your doctor not here tbh
I had the same issue actually till only a few years ago, but didnt realise something was wrong till somone told me
Went to the doctor and they gave me some steroid cream. That and the use of a fleshlight pretty much sorted it for me |

The "its cleaner" comments crack me up. It's not like it's a chore to give your cock a wash when you shower. It's basic hygiene whether you are cut or uncut.
I'm uncut but don't have a long foreskin anyway and it fully retracts when hard so I have best of both worlds. |

We evolved to have a foreskin, so it has a function. If its not causing pain, and funtions correctly, then why remove it?
We dont really "need" earlobes...but you wouldnt remove them because its an extra bit to wash in the shower. |

Medical, fine. Personal choice fine. Done to children for cultural reasons, it is male genital mutilation. Lopping bits off people who are unable to consent... really? Do we even need to consider this? The 'hygiene' defence smacks of a post hoc rationalisation. It's really not difficult to wash properly. |

I had a circumcision when I was 4 for medical reasons. I can't say it's affected me but I cant really compare. But being less sensitive is definitely confirmed but that may to do I play with myself daily so that might have contributed to that too lol |

I had mine done because my penis was just so big the goverment had to step in and force me to have a 4% reduction to try and combat penis envy leading to mental health problems. |

I think the thread is more about male circumcision in adults.. More often than not for medical reasons..? Not known many situations where adult makes are forced to get circumcised. Mine was for medical reasons as a 15 year old. Wasn't forced into it.
FGM is important subject but I think not part of this thread? |

MGM not FGM. Classed as not medically necessary since 1948 but still happens in the uk |

I had it done when I was little. Does anyone else find that sensitivity is reduced?
For example there is zero chance that I would ever cum too soon. I have to decide when I want to finish. It's good in the way that you can go for as long as you want, but on the flip side i feel that it's got to be down to reduced sensitivity and maybe I'm not feeling the full potential. |
