So today I am officially divorced. This was not something I wanted but now it’s happened I suppose I should celebrate my “freedom”. Celebration suggestions?

Drink/food in a pub beer garden? Go buy yourself something nice? Nothing Fab rebated is allowed, but it won’t be long before it is.

It’s good that you see it as something to celebrate.

When I’m finally divorced, it'll be accompanied with a massive sense of sadness and regret for two wasted decades!

You crack on with celebrating, though. Good for you!

Don’t worry I feel sad and regret as well. Mainly for my little boy who I now look after alone. But in life you can only move forward.

She was a major factor in the break up (claimed to have a dead kid when in fact he was living with his Dad) and is dog ugly I’d rather shag dame Edna

Perhaps look online for some suggestions of Renewal Celebrations to include your son so that you can both look forwards and put to rest the pain and stress. I am sure some of the old Pagan ceremonies may be fun for you. Perhaps to include some fire and fireworks if you think he would enjoy them and not be frightened ( even just sparklers) to welcome the change.

Having just come through a horrendous divorce that took almost 4 years and nearly destroyed me, I can thoroughly recommend celebrating.

There will always be a tinge of sadness at the sense of waste and time that’s been lost but look positively toward the future.
