Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on those that are willing to travel a fairly large distance for a meet.
For context, I live in a very rural area so travelling is pretty much a given and I often travel all over the U.K. visiting friends anyway.
However I have found some resistance from people when I mention I’m happy to travel 3-4 hours for a meet. |

I don't mind an hour or so if I already know them . I do like a social with someone new as you have to establish a mutual attraction and see if there's a spark. I can't just shag anyone. |

If you're thinking a first meet then not many would be happy for you to travel that distance, me included, as you really don't know each other and that's a long way for a social or if it didn't work out!
I'm seriously rural too and love travel but without a lot of chat, phone and video chat wouldn't consider that! Literally unless I was going to be very close anyway ...
For people I know then distance either way is no problem |

I understand this and it’s also why I prefer to talk for a quite a while before meeting up anyway... unfortunately there seems to be a lack of those willing to actually do that too.. |

Some of the best meets I've enjoyed have been with men who've travelled a fair distance to see me (eg. Dublin, London). If they're verified and I've got to know them as well as I can chatting online, then I'm prepared to give them a chance. I've been let down more often by people who are fairly local, so I don't consider distance to be an indication of whether someone's genuine or not.

If someone is coming a long way then we usually plan to meet more than one guy, just incase the other decides not to etc. The further the distance the flakier the meet in our experience, if they both turn up even happier days!
That said our best ever meet travelled a long way on a postcode only (he wanted to keep things on fab), then met M in the street for a chat, before walking in and ruining fab for L going forward by setting the bar so high!
That is the thrill of FAB isn't it? It's mostly good sexy fun, but every now and then it all just clicks and becomes one of those nights you won't ever forget |

I always wonder why someone would travel hundreds of miles to meet me....
I’m not special in any way... plus if the meeting goes well , I’m not traveling hundreds of miles to see them.....
