Quite often we get messages saying we obviously get hundreds of messages a day. After I stop laughing, I wonder if other people get that and find it strange. I see the flattery angle, but c'mon, look at us, we're.... OK... Right? But hardly going have our mail box cracking under the demand! |

"I do get slightly jealous of the TV’s on here, who when threads start with ‘how many messages ?’ or ‘looked at you today ?’ Say they get hundreds and I get maybe 3 messages and around 100 views

We quite often get messages saying we must be inundated. I think it is an attempt at flattery. We're in our 60s for goodness sake and while we know we're not going to frighten the horses we're realistic. |

Of course, the forums preach how many messages daily a single lady and couples get.
I guess it's just a way to express they're laid back and understanding if we can't or don't reply immediately.
It's as much about reaching out as it is expressing they think we're popular. |

I'd say a good 75% of messages i received start with 'I know you must be inundated with messages'... Sometimes it's true like if I have recently added a new picture it tends to increase numbers but mostly it's a totally normal expected amount of messages |

Agreeing with many on the thread who get the comment about being inundated with messages. I tend to remind people that filters stop a lot of ‘inundation’ |

Hmm yes, I roll my eyes every time I see a profile saying "NO SINGLE MEN! DO NOT MESSAGE US"... for once there actually is a feature to deal with that... Even that though doesn't exactly overwhelm us! |
