So on profiles where it says people can or will travel, how far are people willing to? We seem to click and have good connections with people who are mostly miles away. Does anyone else have this problem lol

North Wales

We usually prefer people who are a bit of a drive away. Less chance of running into them in Tesco if things get weird Up to a three hour drive is our is usual travel limit.

It also makes for an excuse to take a mini break somewhere if we can add a joint club visit into the mix

Yeah that’s our way of thinking also as we’re new to this so wouldn’t want to run that risk lol!

Secret hideaway in the pennines

I have before now, done Manchester to London and Manchester to Dundee, both for weekend overnights, so if I click with someone, am more than happy to travel.

Also quite happy to do a halfway hotel meet

We are happy travelling as we don’t accommodate.

That being said we generally don’t like to travel for much more than an hour.

The furthest I've gone is Birmingham and it was for a weekend stay I just booked a hotel but normally it's about an hour's drive

Yeah an hour or so seems to be what most have says was just a query really as we seem to get messages from people hours away which always leads to “if you’re ever down this way” lol

We like to visit different areas of the Uk so we would include a meet or club visit during our travels

So any area is ok for us

Yeah sounds fun visiting different clubs around the country. As far as we’re aware the club up here shut or is set to shut.

For me, travelling distance depends on one or two other facts.

Importantly, have we met previously?

I'd be much less likely to travel for a first time meet.

Also, at the moment I'm dependent on public transport, so that does impose some time of day restrictions.

As a guide, I live close to Flint in North Wales. For a first time meet, I'd consider Chester, Rhyl, Liverpool as being a reasonable area.

If going for a first time social meet, I would also very much look towards a "let's meet half way" basis. That way both parties have to put in some effort.

If I was travelling for a club night, well my nearest club would be on / up The Wirral and the club is so good that I wouldn't need to really consider going anywhere else. However, realistically, I would consider the Blackpool, Manchester and West Midlands clubs to be within reasonable travelling distance.

One important thing - I wouldn't look to travel in order to avoid meeting someone I might later bump into in my local Sainsbury's.

Same here...if I connect with someone, they are way too far away. so your not the only one.

Happy to travel but depends how long we’d be meeting for. Travel an hour for a 20min coffee, probably not.

Furthest I've ben for a Fab meet is about 90 mins drive. Wouldn't do much further without booking somewhere to stay and making an event of it!

I’d travel to a club make a trip of it etc but for meets and socials i prefer local pre covid. It’ll be the same post covid remaining very local.

I live in a very rural (though beautiful) area so I’ve accepted that travel for ANYTHING really is pretty much required. I also have friends all over the country so essentially I’m open to travel pretty far!

I’ve actually found that people don’t tend to accept that other people would be happy travelling more than an hour, let alone 2 or 3 and so don’t even consider people from slightly further afield

When I met scarlet I was a 2.5h drive away from her. Felt we clicked so I went for a social and here we are 12 years later still together

A spot you want me

Distance is not something I look at, just focus on quality connection.

I travel a bit with work so can always sort something and as others have said it's a fun adventure and saves you bumping into folk in Morrisons

I don't drive, but I'm happy to travel within my county or a reasonable train journey to somewhere I know. Like Bournemouth or Brighton for example.

Exactly this! It’s an opportunity to go somewhere new and explore different places
