Nope happy the way it is, and think most would be. Bad enough with profile stalkers for the ladies without them cruising your little corner of the world looking for your house.
If a home meet is the cards address can be exchanged via a mail. |

No its good the way it is imo, like previous said there's enough profile stalkers and weirdos about that having whatever you put as town is good enough. Just have to remember the distance is as the crow flies.
When I've done meets always been a phone conversation or mail for address if its a home meet. |

Are you mad?... nearby button is good enough. With fab profiles on Google search engine (unless you have changed in privacy settings) show the world your area. Won't take long for people to find you. |

The current situation is adequate.
Too much information may facilitate jigsaw identification, that more sophisticated individuals (with malintent) could use.
Jigsaw means piecing together data from disparate sources to more precisely identify an individual.
My preference for a swinging lifestyle is an aspect of my life that I guard jealously.
Not even my closest friends or acquaintances are aware of my personal sexual preference; discretion, circumspection and secrecy are therefore crucial.
Ireland is a place where it is possible for personal information to be widely known, too quickly.

Nope.
I think it should show less postcode.
Location is the lowest priority over personality and compatibility as I'm prepared to travel as long as it takes for the right person.
Heard of too many people lurking in postcode areas so they can "bump in" to people and say "Hi, saw you on Fab" at the totally inappropriate moment. I can understand why people give false locations and postcodes to prevent that. |

Where and how are you seeing people’s postcodes anyway? I don’t show mine on my profile and I’m not aware that it’s showing up in any other way - if it is, I’d like to know how so I can prevent it. I don’t want people knowing that much info! |

It doesn't show up, you're safe. The site only asks for the first half so it can't be narrowed down to much. |

As for the OP, no. Like hell would I out my full postcode on here for the same reason I don't have my real location. Some people are weird, it's not safe  |

Phew, thanks! I deliberately didn’t put my actual town as my location as I didn’t want to narrow it down, so the thought that people might be able to see even the first half of my postcode was a bit worrying! |

As many folks have mentioned, the current status quo seems well accepted.
I use another web service similar to this (Fabs), and their GPS location identifies your location down to the house/ flat number. I do hope that doesn't get shared with all and sundry, but it does indicate just how accurate a phone based service can be. I think if you want to be absolutely sure where folks are, simply go to a club |
