"I’ll often ask that if I see it’s a new profile. Always interested to find out more about their reasons for joining.
And it’s a way to find out if the reality is matching up to their idea of it. "
Same! Lockdowns and restrictions have also affected peoples experiences of fab so i do ask albeit not as an opening message but in the course of conversation. |

It's a conversation starter. We don't mind it, the messages that follow tell if you're compatible. It's like at a party, you need to establish conversation by starting with something neutral like " did you come far? " |

Oh damn I've been guilty of this! Usually in response to a message that doesn't give much away.. I'd ask "are you enjoying fab?" - it can open up conversation about what they're looking for, or is there's any mutual ground for reasons for joining.. but I'll admit its my go-to when feeling lazy |

I just tell them the truth!!!!
It’s working well for us this time and the way we approach and use fab now is much more enjoyable for my wife.

Can say we're guilty of this too but it's just a mere question of, does the site work for you, have you had many meets, have they been good etc, a lot of of people reply with experiences or what they've not found yet etc... More of a conversation starter than saying have you done this, this and this.

I ask this because I know how daunting it can be for new ladies. 300 unread FAF messages and an avalanche of dick pics can frighten them away.
I just see if they want to chat about it.
Never ask an experienced fabber though. |

Exactly.
Despite the demands of many folk on here looking for war and peace opening messages I for one am not prepared to type them out when the simple fact is that 99% of single mens opening messages get ignored, sometimes deleted without even being read. A simple opening message to see if a conversation can be struck then take it from there. |

I will admit I tend to type out a bit. Something other than How's you? How's fab, blah blah. I compliment bios and pics etc.
Yes they often get deleted straight away but I like to make a little effort. It's each to their own how they go about things |

If I resort to that sentence it means that I have nothing more to say to that person ...

"Common no point messages
How you finding fab
What you up to
Are you busy
How you feeling today
Are you alone
11pm on a (last) Friday night
You free?
(Going to bed in a bit actually )"
Wuu2 bbe?
Lying on the sofa, in my fleecy pyjamas with a couple of cats.
Not usually what they want to hear |
