Having a quiet drink when a guy you’ve never met or spoken to before comes up to you and his first words are

‘Will you be my friend?’

Happens all the time on fab, is there a difference?

You’re views?

Is it just us that finds it odd?

Wouldn’t it be more like “I want to see your naughty photos, will you be my friend”? And that would definitely be weird!

Wouldn't it just be a dick pic and the words "fuck now"?

Yes, that’s often the purpose

The buggers don’t even wear the statutory raincoat when they are clicking their old mouse either!

It's only wierd if he throws his cock out under your nose on the table and pulls out a sky remote from his jacket pocket for comparison.

Otherwise no... I see no problem with it.

Could be worse, he could show you his knob then ask if you could be friends

At least that would show a modicum of social sophistication

When you order your next drinks, the barstaff asks you if you'll be a friend to a guy in the pub. They don't tell you which guy, just pointing to a dark area of the pub, where you can see black silhouettes. They say they'll take some of your photos over, so he can get to know you better.

You hand your phone over, so your pics are copied and the barstaff let you see a cock pic from the guy.

You have a great evening

You're not sitting in the pub half naked with your tits nearly out looking for 3somes with a sign saying you like anal, DP and the like

That happens to me quite a bit OP. I'm a charismatic kinda person.

Fab is a weird place. Before I put a picture of me up on our profile no one was interested in even looking at our profile. Now we get a few. If I put my wife's tits up then I will have friend requests coming out my ass.

Nahhhh if it was the same as fab he would probably have no banter and would 100% try and show us a picture of his sky remote or sure deodorant can

This although D did receive a fair few fabs and a lot of messages on his cock pic which we didn't expect

I haven't exactly missed pubs more the idea of a pub without a tv blaring out a football game and a bunch of morons shouting.(ahh the good old days of conversation with the person in front of you and them actually looking at and listening to you?)

God I'm getting old or do others feel the same?

More power to him

I remember my wife getting a lot of messages about a jacket she was wearing from ts/tv's. It was random and she took it as a compliment.

My secret phrase when I walk up to people in a pub is "In a dark room there is bird shit on my windscreen" I've never been caught by the Gestapo yet.

Perpignan and cap

We've all got a common interest on here so instantly there's a chance that we can be friends.

If the dude in the pub slides over some naked pics that would be weird.

If the dude in the pub is chatting and laughing with you, asking if we can be friends (on Facebook) or asking for your telephone number is not unusual behaviour.

Us too, we do go once in a while, but it’s no big deal. Quite often not the best of places to have a proper conversation and sometimes there are some very annoying people in them who love draw attention to themselves.

Point totally missed, the dude in the pub has not spoken previously etc

Exactly, the normal way of doing things on or off the web. But perhaps you’re just intelligent and have some sense of how things should work, it seems many can’t seen to manage to get to that level of development.

Am I sitting in the pub naked with a short description of what I'm looking for sexually on the table and a little notice that allows people to ask to be my friend or say they like how I look?

If that's the analogy, from our experience they don't even say anything on here, just send a friend request.

I guess it would be more like a grunt then grab your phone off you to scroll through pictures

I think there is a big difference between fab and a pub. In a pub you don't have the option of ignoring and then blocking the person/s who randomly asks to be your friend, it's not just men who send random friend requests we get a lot from couples too. Not many people sit in pubs in various poses with scanty clothing on.

In my personal opinion the reasons for going to a pub and joining fab are quite different so the rules of engagement wi be different too.
