A: No.
While you may feel a person is a time waster, you actually will never know if a person truly exists (both personality or physical representation found on their profile) unless you meet them, and get to know them personally.
What constitutes a fake / time waster profile?
A: that is anything that's dishonest or a misrepresentation of the truth.
- using someone else's text, or images (stolen or purchased)
- using very old images that misrepresent your physical attributes or age
- dishonest intentions in profile text or messages (individuals
- a fake identity (computer bot or manually created profile)
What could be the purposes of these profiles?
The below list is not definitive, it's possible to know all motivations.
- theft of pictures & video (collectors for profit, reuse thereof, or in extreme situations possibly blkmail)
- government surveys / social experimentation (including universities and colleges)
- mental health issues (individual or organisation)
- promotion of a business (self promotion of a person or website)
Will you be able to identify the reason as to why your time was wasted? (No shows for meets and no response to messages)
A: No. (You may not ever know if it were a fake profile, or even a bot in the first place)
What is the common denominator that exists in all situations?
A: The fake or misrepresenting profiles show no empathy towards genuine users. Those actions are often narcissistic.
Do all fake personal profiles found on websites break laws or the sites rules?
A: No.
While society as a whole generally accepts that such would be morally unacceptable, power and financial gain trump's the wellbeing of others.
Fake profiles should break the hosted site rules, but that doesn't prevent some sites creating their own fake profiles to attract more users.
Fake images while most may automatically consider use of to be illegal, thdy could be legally obtained and used within the terms of purchase.

Just because those rubbish qualities are visible elsewhere, acceptance won't make that world a happier place.
I cannot agree that it's human nature; no one likes fuck wits...

Fair-ish. Another example, Girl A (bi fem couple) is in contact with Girl B (single bi girl looking for girls and couples).
mobile communication and exchange of pics goes on for a week; Girl A believes she is working towards a weekend threesome meet with her partner.
a little over a week later, Girl B informs that she only meets with her partner and girls only.
How could you avoid that? |

That's a bit rough... Assuming there wasn't good communication from Girl A is like blaming a victim for being abused...
Girl A communication was very clear, her profile was very clear..
Girl B was a liar, her profile was untrue, and she continued to lie on the off chance she could lure Girl A away from here partner.
The scary aspect, for someone to go through that effort, it must usually achieve her desired result

Yes, the above has definitely happened to me (N) and I'm probably not the only female of a couple to have experienced it and probably more will in the future.
We have come across numerous "single" female profiles only wanting to meet the female of the couple (potentially viable if all honest and desired outcome achieved) to later inform us that the "single" female will only meet with her bf but is not willing for the couple male to be apart of the meet. |
