Please ladies go and get checked even through these strange times, cancer doesn't stop for a pandemic!!!
Just thought I'd pop on and share. I was diagnosed last Tuesday with early stages of cervical cancer and need a hysterectomy, but that should be it, no further treatment. Always had regular smears, and was advised if I had not gone to my routine appointment, my consultant would have had a very different conversation with me.
Hoping my op will be within 4 weeks.
Guys, also go and get checked if you feel lumps and bumps that are not normal.

Very wise words spoken and I know of so many people who have skipped this type of appointment out of fear of contracting COVID or wasting the time of NHS
Life is precious and so easily lost .
Lovely lady from Matlock I wish you all the best and I hope your operation is a 100% success |

I'm off for colposcopy today, always had normal smears but noticed some changes with my body, fingers crossed it's nothing sinister and something simple like a polyp but it's so important to know your own body and look after it, the sooner you're diagnosis the better the outcome x
Wishing you well OP xx |

All the very best for your hysterectomy. I have had cervical cancer twice of 25 years and end of last year diagnosed with stage 1 womb cancer being treated with hormones until my hospital resumes operations again then I’m also having a full total hysterectomy.
I’ll echo your words .. get to those appointments ladies .. the earliest something it detected the better.
Sending lots of love and speedy recovery xx stay safe xx |

Best of luck for the future in dealing with what you’ve had to face. Had cancer years ago, was very scary at the time, but you’ll come out of it a stronger person. Thank goodness you caught it early. |

Sending you love and good wishes x
I had a hysterectomy back in 2016 to avoid me getting several cancers and it took some time to recover (make sure you follow all medical advice or you'll set yourself back) but I have never ever regretted it.

Rest properly after the operation and don't be tempted to do anything.
