The Keys in the bowl parties of the 1960s and 1970s were certainly no myth.
Communication in finding such parties was a problem as we had no internet, no mobile phones, and in a lot of cases no access to landline phones.
Words of mouth in the network of pubs was the solution to finding out what was on.
I organised my first one in the early 60s
when my parents took my younger sister away on holiday, 4 couples plus my then girlfriend took part, all of us in our early 20s.
By the mid 60s older couples had entered the fray which spiced the parties up a lot.
A change in employment resulted in me leaving the area but the feedback filtering through to me indicated that the parties were still active in the early 70s. |

They were real. I caught the end of them before I reached my 20s. Then the Internet happened and I forgot all about them until one lady manager I used to work with a couple of years ago made a reference to them in the context of the project we were discussing and got strange looks from about 30+ senior managers. I should get back in touch with her. She must be fun... |

the thought of pulling some keys out a bowl to have a fuck ?? hell no id rather have my teeth pulled ... fucking some one im not attracted to yuk id be bone dry and heaving ...
i dont know anyone from my lady friends and couples on this scene who would do so too ... attraction is number one for me yes theres more to it and alot more but attraction unlocks the lock to open the door without attraction nobody is coming anywhere near me... |

also been to 100s of private parties and never seen this thats 30+ tears and when talking to older swinger who now dont play but did in the 70s/80s also never heard or seen these parties amazing how one advert on tv has everyone thinking it was the norm 
not saying it did not happen with people who all knew each other and had already plated together as it was a 99.9% couples only scene back then for most |

For this to work you would really have to know every single couple going to the party and be willing to play with them. Also it sounds rather boring, going off with another persons partner? I prefer group play at a party so definitely not for me. |
