Whilst I am happy to chat with almost anyone via the site mail I wish people would be a little more creative and expansive in their first messages as most seem to struggle to even write a full sentence.
Surely it's not to much to expect that if your initiating contact with someone to actually include something indicating what you actually want to talk about especially if its something you've not covered in the interests on you own profile. |

It's a tricky one because what someone finds witty and clever, someone else will find boring and repetitive. So you just have to do your best and hope you catch that person in a good mood.
Another problem is that a lot of people would like the person writing to them to refer to something they've seen in their profile. It's a way of seeing if someone has read it but if there's nothing creative and original about their profile, should they really expect the same in messages directed at them?
Seems a bit Pot, Kettle, Black to me. |
