It was a myth that caught people’s attention. Thankfully it’s mostly gone now but the site owners started asking people to stop using the disclaimers as 1; they carry no legal weight, and

2; they take up so much server space, they were in danger of damaging the usability of the site.

It just goes to prove that some people are deeply gullible

If you read the sites FAQ (click on it at the bottom of the page) they tell you in there that it is a load of bollocks (not in those words of course)

It was a ‘meme’ put out on the interweb years ago to track the spread of misinformation and flag idiots. It has nothing to do with swinging or even reality.
