The site is a tool, a platform.
Soooo many people don't meet from messaging, they make their connections at clubs or socials and use the site to keep in touch with their new connections, to keep an eye on events, munches, club nights etc.
There's far more to fab, to the lifestyle than tens of thousands of profiles and their inbox.
You're far more likely to get a response on a forum thread than you are a reply to a private message, especially as we're still in lockdown and people will be wanting to meet up with existing friends, hug their families etc as their priority once lockdown is lifted. |

women here get hundreds of messages, so unless it’s a really grabbing message from the beginning then of course they won’t reply. maybe work on your profile or your messages. also, covid. there’s no meets in sight, so endless messages aren’t what many people want at the minute anyway. |

I don't seem to have a problem striking a conversation up.
I have loads on my hotlist I'm waiting to message closer to full freedom and see what strong connections I get then.

OP, we are still in the middle of pandemic, a lot of people have other priorities than chatting with a random people off the internet. Especially if those people couldn't even be bothered to have at least slightly informative profile. |
