All contextual isn’t it. Could be someone from your first adult relationship from decades ago or someone recently who was just no good for you. I’d never be bitter or emotionally informed from previous relationships, waste of mental and emotional space.

But I wouldn’t, in the vast majority of cases. I have no thoughts or desires particularly. Would you OP?

Newry Down

It would depend on the specific circumstances of the break-up, and the intervening period; both parties would have moved on in the interim and reinstatement of the (new) relationship would require careful renegotiation.

Sometimes it can be case of "Better the devil you know..."

But the key requirement would be an elevated level of sexual chemistry, and she would still have to be keen on swinging with other (hot) couples!

It depends. Relationships and partners are best chosen on what's appropriate at the time. Whilst we may have had a period apart, it still doesn't mean that we'll ever be compatible.

Sometimes the harder choices are the right ones. And the lazy ones don't strengthen us

One in particular yes. We were never officially a couple, she lived in Germany I lived in the UK, but we would regularly meet up when I was visiting. Because we were never officially a couple we never broke up, life just got in the way. We still meet up from time to time for a coffee or dinner and chat about old times and what could have been. Still massive sparks between us but we know we just can't go there and that is after 30 years.

I'm currently with my ex from when I was 18/19.

It's the best thing I've ever done. I also on and off had one of my exs for 20plus years till last year.
