Quite often, I'll see profiles saying 'tattoos only' or 'tattoos make me weak'. Now I'm a blank canvas, but surely that is better than some dodgy tattoo done by some amateur with a home tattoo kit, right?
I've always thought the generalised sweeping statement is a bit narrow-minded, or naive at best.
Help me out here; what is it about tattoos?? |

Most tattoos are done my great tattoo artists and it comes down to people individuality and taste.

Where does the presumption a tattoo had been home done by an amateur?
I've got some old rubbish from 30 years ago. But the newer stuff is from a very reputable local tattoo artist. I'm proud of his work. |

Well I've seen some tragic tattoos. I'd like to think they're done by an amateur rather than a 'professional'!
Don't get me wrong, there's some seriously cool artwork in lots of tattoos. But my point is more that 'tattoos make me weak' is an odd thing to say when it's totally subjective and varied. |

Nah man, honestly the state of some of them can't have been done anywhere but at home. If not then the 'artist' is a fraud! Haha |

Some tattoos will be viewed as awful, but may be amazingly crafted by true artists. Some hate tattoos. Some love them. Some people have preferences, some have harder limits on themselves too. I think they can look very sexy on some, but others don’t do it for me. And plenty of great looking people out there with none too. Simply a choice of preference and taste thing. But to fancy someone purely because they have tattoos is just daft |

It's not subjective or varied to the person that likes them, that is where that individual taste come in.
If it where a sweeping statement about the whole of Fab, then it would be subjective.
Why do some people like big breast and some like small.
Why do some like big cock and some like small.
Individual taste is not something that can be quantified. |

Your final sentence is pretty much what I'm getting at. I agree with the rest too; this isn't a tattoo hating post! I love great artwork! |

It is a bit odd. Maybe the same as someone saying Brummie accents make them weak. Or high heels. Or milfs.

Dont think anyone would fancy someone solely on the basis of having a tattoo but it certainly enhances someone looks for me, just like anything else would. |

I love my tats. I took my time to decide what ones I wanted and deciding which tattooist to go with. There are some amazing tattooists out there but luckily for me, one of them works locally to me. Like has been mentioned by others on here.. every tat has a story behind it.. its quite personal so it may not have meaning to you but for that person.. its everything really. I definitely can't wait to get more |

Not a massive fan of tattoos, to me they’re just a fashion fad that has removed the exclusivity they once had.
When I was younger to have a tattoo meant you were different to the majority of ‘square people’ bikers, sailors, soldiers or criminals, really just the bad lads and even tougher women had them.
Now your granny, local politician or police officer has a full arm sleeve. That’s why I don’t have any I think the blank canvas people are now becoming the minority, so prefer to stay that way.
However it wouldn’t put me off a long term partner or casual sex with someone, if they had a few. Just like any fashion trend if they enjoy it and love it, more power to them.
