Such a shame, he was one hell of a fighter. I remember seeing him beat Alan Minter.

Before my time but I have heard legendary tales of this and seen some footage.

A real champ wasn’t he, that Hearns war was just undeniable in terms of his ability and determination forging some of his legend.

Sad news to wake up to this morning. I had read somewhere a while ago he had heart problems but no cause of his death is mentioned yet just that he died suddenly.

Its been mentioned on another thread about his title fight with Minter and the remarks minter made pre-fight but the chaos after and the small riot at Wembley made sure he never defended his belt in England ever again even though Sibson and Mugabe fought him in later years.

Stand out fight has to be Hearns , described as 15 rounds condensed into 3. Watching it back on YouTube and they're not wrong.
